If you're new to digital art, and/or Sketchbook, this is THE video to watch. By far the best Sketchbook For Beginners, I've seen. And yes, I've watched more than one, because none of them went through item by item AND showed what they do. Showing where layer controls are is great and all, but if you don't explain and show how to use it, I'm left trying to figure it out on my own. Three days later, I searched for a more informative tutorial and found it. Thank you for saving my new hobby.

This is the absolute BEST video I've seen on this app! I've become chronically ill, and I no longer have the energy for the clean up and set up of paints, brushes, water, and/or pencils, markers, etc, so I've been trying to teach myself how to create digitally, as I've missed my art greatly. Every other video I watched seemed to assume the audience already had some basic knowledge of digital art platforms, and went way too be fast, didn't explain the different features and tools very well, and we're overall frustrating. I eventually just jumped in and started trying to figure it out on my own. Thank you so much for your clear and patient teaching style! 💜

I'm going to be sending this message around. I don't have a KZbin channel, not going to make one but I found out something new in sketchbook. In advanced sketches setting, you can click on shape and change the shape of your brush. I don't know if some people knows this but😱.

Very useful video thanks! For me it happens that when I draw with the tablet in vertical shape, with the side of my hand I go over the layer menu on the right side, and so the app change the layer selected and it's very annoying! I tried blocking the layers but still it tries to select the layers my hand goes over and it pops up a message where it says that the layer in blocked and I cannot draw on it🙈 do you have any suggestion for this problem? Maybe the only way is to hide the bar tools and draw without seeing them? Thanks for your help!❤

I changed software to this one, I cannot find any cutter function whereby one can select a part of the drawing, displace, cut, resize and paint. Hi Fabrice HENARD Thank you for your comment! Glad you liked it! You can use Lasso tool just like a cut tool and use it to select and copy paste or move it around alongside with the transform tool !! Hope this helps 😊

Your tutorial is great!! Could some lovely person in the comments here help me perhaps? I'm having an issue with using the eraser on the pencil?? I feel like I'm losing my mind. When I use the eraser on the pen it works just fine!! Can't for the life of me get it to make my pencil marks to disappear

Hey holly thanks for watching the video.. Check if the eraser size is big enough to clear/opacity of the eraser or check if u are using it on the same layer as the pencil marks

Hey I actually tried the advanced settings, light pressure and high pressure one but the sizes were exactly the same, no matter how much pressure i apply. Idk what’s wrong. Do you think its because my stylus isn’t an Apple Pencil?

No not at all ... I didn't use the apple pencil in this. My stylus did it. Make sure you are changing the right settings, save it and try again. And the difference is very prominent in few brushes and so mild in others so may be if you use a different brush and try it out. Mail me [e-mail] for more queries. There will be a small semi visible dot on the bottom centre of the mobile screen canvas tap on it and you can access double puck:) Hope this helps...

Hi Noora !! Try increasing the width and Height of the canvas to higher values like 2500 x 4000 that may increase the size of the file

@Fire Cat I'm not really sure but may be some storage issue. try going into settings->apps->autodesksketchbook->storage-> clear cache and data (this usually helps even for app crashing) Or try deleting and then reinstalling the application .. Hope it helps :)
