Pixellbytes' Adjustable Party Limit is my absolute favorite. Absolutely awesome to be able to play all main chars at once. For balancing I can recommend his new "Tactician Enhanced" mod. Works perfectly with the larger party mod and is a blast at its max settings of 500% health boost + extra actions & bonus actions for enemies with a strong party of 8. Definitely recommend.

@@sunrbg Unfortunately, not all NPC scale the same way in health, as I discovered (not only with pixellbytes' mod). At 500% you may have a tough fight against regular NPC that scale correctly and an easy time against specific opponents that are probably limited by design and scale perhaps 2 times or even less, if at all. That said, I know the feeling. I have myself a full party consisting of basically 3 Ice AOE blasters, 3 merciless fighters, a healer/supporter, and a freaking deadly Gloomstalker Astarion, and it's pretty easy 90% of the time (not always). The trick is to restrain yourself depending on your opponents. Don't fully buff up, use less haste and too powerful spells or actions, and avoid cheesy tactics and exploits. If you enjoy playing a full-grown party for the fun (and chitchat) it offers, you'll have no problems imposing some limits/rules on yourself. If the fights are tougher, you can still adapt on the fly. Works for me. Not a honor mode fan for the limitations on saves and the luck component on crucial rolls. You should at least have a saving opportunity after the most important milestones so you can restart from there. Nothing is more annoying than starting from scratch again after an unlucky roll or fight in Act 3.

Don't tell them to use the recruit Alfira mod on a Dark Urge playthrough! I did that, and it screws up your run because you were supposed to kill her to get your butler. If you use the mod, that doesn't happen; thus, you bug the game from there on out. Oh, and when you realize that and turn off the mod and then try to load up an older save to fix it, your file will be corrupted and you'll have to delete the whole campaign and start over. 🤬

@kims4149 I tried straight-up killing her beforehand, and you get nothing. No butler and no replacement. It's as if that part of the game no longer exists, and thus, your dark urge playthrough is halted until you can somehow trigger your butler.

One i would add to the expanded party limit The Sit this one out mod Gives every companion a toggle ability When on, when combat starts, they poof out, becoming intangible and not getting a turn in combat, and enemies wont attack it, and they dont take up space, essentially ceasing to exist for the duration of combat So you can bring the full party, without trivialising combat

Another mod that's really nice for expanding gameplay options is Ether's Brilliant Acquisitions. It adds back in all of the various cut content items that are mostly balanced due to items intended to be in the game, albeit this also makes the debug cheat stat rings also available but one can always ignore these or wear them for power tripping, their choice. You can't obtain these items with the Cheater's Ring/Scroll mod since that only adds in non-cut content items, so if you want a balanced arsenal expansion then this mod gives you tons of developer intended options that simply didn't make it into the final release yet were made and are still in the game's files. It's a lazier version of the Larian's Leftovers mod, but it's available to both consoles and PC rather than still only being PC-exclusive like Larian's Leftovers currently is.

Adjustable party limit has an issue were sometimes they won't follow you over jumps and such. Sometimes the extra characters won't move until you select them then switch back to you Tav.

Ok, there is a lot not on consoles, yet. And I want it bad. I really need access to Alfira joins the party. As well as the mod that gives AOE, till-long-rest long strider, feather fall, and jump. O.i.o. prime is amazing. I need it! I always figured when one of the party says they need a rest, it was time to go to camp for a cutscene. But if there is yet more to see, I want the show camp notification mod. Better trade menu sounds very handy.

if nothing else, the Alfira mod is a great proof of concept. Sure we already had "ways" of forcing characters into the party but it was clunky and often broke stuff etc so this proving that it can work PERFECTLY fine could be big going forward.

hot tip, secret scrolls on the in game mod manager is bugged (or just isn't implemented by the dev) , the icons wont pop up, so your better off just uninstalling it, and downloading it on nexus mods.

The hot bar mode doesn't seem to allow certain actions to populate. Like the boots that let a gith fly, you can active the bonus action to give you the ability to fly, but you can't actually fly using movement speed unless you go into the spell book screen and dragging it down to the hot bar. I had to do that everytime

How do you trigger shadow heart playing with the device at 4:42? I’ve beaten the game seven times and this scene always triggers during a long rest, at camp, with her sitting on the floor. I’ve never seen this happen at the Druid grove.

If you ignore her on the Nautiloid and on the beach she'll end up there when you arrive.

It happens if you don't wake her after the crash at the beginning of the game. She has a really crucial item for the game completion, so there is multiple ways that they make her reunite with you.

I actually just got the scene of Shadowheart sitting on the ground at camp fiddling with the prism for the first time; on my third solo run. I think what got it for me was the fact that I was trying to go as far as I could without her telling me she worshipped Shar.

ha your covering of wither's trader mod actually taught me how to use die >.< I purposely stayed away form bg3 content cause I didn't want it spoiled. I have the LOVE IT, and I'm started branch out into youtube for it. I for th elife of me here on my first play through could not figure out the dye system. >.< I feel like a putz now. Out of all these mods the only one that i actually think its not good is the Adjustable Party Limit one, there are other mods out there that are better to increase the party limit without the drawback of having to reduce size upon a long rest, there is a fair amount of long rest camps we need to have in a campaign, and being forced to reduce the party limit AND then go to every companion to re add them would annoying and tiresome after a while, also the Alfira mod is just bad, if you just want her in your party there is a mod to add her at withers. Though my favorite mod is Show Camp Night notification, its not foolproof as after certain events you need to speak with the companion to trigger camp night event but still, overall very useful.

That's not really how games work. After all, they've fixed *so much more* than you could ever know (unless you're also a modder/familiar with the files). It's completely normal/expected that there will be a few that slip through the cracks, which is part of why they're so pro-modder.

Depends on what the bug actually is. If the items are working as intended, but the description isn’t accurate, than the “fix” would be to modify the text. Making text more accurate is likely a low priority bug.

(LIfe hack for party size mod) Increase the size to what you want, save the game, then uninstall the mod. You will no longer have to decrease the party size when you full rest and I have only ran into two bugs so far. 1 sometimes it will say you cant rest, just switch to a different member not sleeping and you'll be fine. 2 when you cross the river in the underground send all extra companions back to camp then add them back once you made it to the forge.

The speed walking mod does not work the way that you say that works. It only increases your speed, not the speed of everybody in your party. This means it's only really useful if you're playing a solo run; otherwise, it's extremely annoying because you constantly enter cinematics alone. That is why I uninstalled it.
