Oh my heck! I went to this place last year. Me, my mom, and two of my sons were driving from Utah out to the Mayo clinic in Minnesota. Stopped here and found so many awesome vintage patterns and I got them for great prices! I'm still so in love.

I actually just saw that little eggplant anthropomorphic salt and pepper set at the antique store by me yesterday! You are correct. Those two do not go together. It should be two of the little purple-headed guys.

I went into an antique mall yesterday in an old house. It kept going and going, room after room. I never made it to the 2nd and third floors. I got a few great pieces and I will be going back.

It was so hot in that building when we were there. When I was a kid my Dad would take me to Pierpoint Landing and tell me that it was Marineland. My friends thought that I was so lucky.

Hi, guys! Hope you're heading down I-35 to the Brass Armadillo. Des Moines has a ton of thrift stores, too. Blake-if you're hungry, find a Perkins. Good food, good prices and have a slice of very berry pie-really tasty. Since l live about 45 minutes south of Story City, and can be in Des Moines in 10, answer back,(if you want) and l can tell you about good places-plus addresses-if you're still in the area. @@MidCenturyWasted Heck, Blake and l are probably related. A lot of my family and cousins live in Ft. Dodge! Ok.Just let me know when your back this way, or when you want some addresses. What Cheer( no kidding-its really the town's name) has a big flea market in the spring, the state fairgrounds in Des Moines have an big indoor flea market the first weekend of the month, and Walnut, lowa is almost entirely antique shops. Come back soon! BTW, we're not all corncobs here-l was in nearly every state (still have to do New England) Canada and Mexico by the time l was 16. Loved CA, but l nearly knocked Alfred Hitchcock out at San Francisco International! Thanks for the tour!-even if it was April!! 🤣🐷🌽
