Hell yes! It’s Ian Time! I love the Dark Tower. I loved all the ties to other authors’ universes. It’s such a wild ride! Also, if you and Ashlynn loved ACOTAR, I suggest reading the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Think Disney Princesses but with sci-fi. If you like ACOTAR have you tried Anne Bishop the Black Jewels series which may have inspired Maas. Anne Bishop also has an amazing urban fantasy about the others and some books that are great high fantasy and another set with travelling between worlds via bridges. I am always astonished how few fantasy readers try Bishop. Same as I am surprised so many Hobb fans don’t try her work writing as Megan Lindholm. Omg! If you loved the ACOTAR series, you really need to read Throne of Glass. It's more fantasy than fantasy romance, there's literally no spice, the characters are amazing, it's pretty traumatic (just like any SJM book), but it's so good!. Also the Crescent city series by SJM. It's an urban adult fantasy series, the books are pretty big ( they're 800 pages each ), there are some spicy scenes, but again it's so good. The third book comes out in January 2024 and let me tell you: the ending of the second one will leave you speechless.

Holy hell, I thought you would end up reading more than your initial July TBR but 9 books is insane (considering how big some are). When you got to ACOSF I was laughing in agreement to those scenes :D I must say that - like some - I was really looking forward to Nesta's story, cuz she is probably my favourite from ACOTAR^^ Also, regarding the controversial side of it... in my opinion, there should not be any :D I mean, the previous trilogy was written in Feyre's POV and now you get Nesta's so obviously the perception of the whole thing happening with Rhys makes sense? I think a lot of readers considered Rhys to be a literal saint and thought that he cannot have any faults and now he wasn't "presented" in the best light but honestly, I think I liked him better now than before precisely because he was shown to make mistakes in this novel. That being said, thank you for the wrap up! I can't wait for next month's as well cuz I'm finally planning to dive into The First Law trilogy so I'll be glad of some other reviews on the novellas that will come next!^^
@iangubeli Жыл бұрын
FIRST LAW, YEEEESSSS!!! Can’t wait to hear what you think!! Man’s I totally agree with ACOTAR! Rhys always seems disgustingly perfect. I appreciate him being written form Nesta’s perspective. It makes him, and honestly everyone else, more well-rounded characters.
