Hi Kris! Thank you for the downloads! I ordered the Meeden ceramic round palette that is almost identical to the Quiller for $49.95 CDN from Amazon. Thank you for your videos. I started watercolour to keep me learning something during Covid. I am not an artist, bit really needed to find something to do! We have 9 young grandkids, so now via FaceTime we paint together. I paint cards (Christmas, Easter, Birthday) for family now. Mom is 98 this year, so instead of a letter, I paint a card and write a letter in that. She really enjoys receiving those! I have a creative soul, but not great at watercolour. I would love to attend a class, but with my health I am unable to risk getting sick. So KZbin it is! I appreciate you and other artists who take time to make videos for people like me. Thank you so much!

Thank you for sharing a bit of your story. I will say a prayer for you today....for your health and all you are doing to support your family (your mom and grandkids). You sound like a wonderful person. I hope you have fun painting and that it brings you joy. So cool you are painting with your grandkids.

How do you like that palette? I just found that one too. It looks almost identical to the quiller and looks to be the same dimensions

Oh your circle pallete looks nice bur looks heavy too❤.. thanks for sharing this video.. i will do my own color wheel :)

Yes. It is heavy....which is something I like about it. It doesn't move about on the table when I'm using it in my studio. Of course, this palette is for studio use only. I have a much lighter and smaller palette for en plein air. :-) Thanks for watching. Just FYI - here is a video explaining all the reasons I like this palette - kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4CxhpyPpd6eerc Have a great day

Thank you for the templates and suggestions! Would you please do a video on how to arrange colors in the common two row metal palette? Thank you!

Endless thanks! I was just trying to set-up my first palette, (medeen square porcelain Quiller knockoff) and having trouble, and found this video. So much help I don't even have the words to appropriately thank you. I have almost all the same Daniel Smith colors, and the M Graham landscape set, so setting my pallet up became very easy after seeing your colors. I've never painted, so I was unsure about which colors were cooler or warmer and belonged next to or farther away from each other. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. 🙏🏻

Reminds me of the days when we'd record party mix tapes on cassette. I'm close to your selections, watching here helps a lot. Will DS Moonglow work as a neutral tint and/or shading effectively with other colors than black, even though it's fugitive? Maybe use it to paint the hair of a Dorian Grey portrait and watch it turn lighter with time.

Omg. I just found a palette on Amazon almost identical to the Stephen quiller palette by MEEDEN and it’s only $39. It almost seems too good to be true. It’s porcelain and the same dimensions as the SQ one 😮😮 Has anyone tried this one?? I can’t believe it’s so affordable
@KrisDeBruineStudio Жыл бұрын
Yep. Meeden has a very similar palette. They came out with this in the last year or two, I imagine in response to the popularity of the SQ palette. I have recommended that affordable option to my channel. It seems like a great option. Thanks for the feedback.
