Hey people! I wanted to clarify the part at 9:37 a little because it's inaccurate. The sentence that balance has no function off the ball isn't the whole story, as other parts of the video show. It is true for turning and running, which is what I had in mind when saying it, but as I've said in other parts of the video, when losing physical or aerial duels and thereby losing balance, it is the balance stat that's responsible for how quickly you can restore balance again, and that can absolutely happen without the ball involved as well when players collide. Apologies for the poor phrasing on that one and thanks to Voidrive for letting me know🙏

This is by far the most informative and actually scientific take on in-game stats I have ever seen on this platform. The in-game explanation is so ambiguous thank you so much for this video Pepe! And special props to Amadeusz as well 🤝

Thank you very much🙏 I only collected the information and provided the video though, credits absolutely go to Amadeusz (and Voidrive for his great translations), who is the actual scientist by doing all this high quality research and letting us know about it. I'm not a tester, I'm not even sure if I could actually do testing on this level because one would have to automate inputs and stuff and make sure any other stat / external factors are 100% the same to ensure there is no noise to skew the resultss. It's also very time consuming. I'm very glad there are people who are amazing at this and putting in the work and on top of it even sharing it with us👍

Pepe..! The main man! 🙌 I must have watched this video fully though about 4 times now, and gone over a few areas now and again too, I can't stress how much I appreciate this 🙏 When I got the new Nedved people were saying to me that 'fighting spirit' was wasted on him because of his high stamina, but I had it on his old card and I knew it just WORKED for some reason. That's just one example of how good this video is, to prove I wasn't crazy 😅 I feel gutted that I've put weighted pass on some of my CF players though now as I always thought one touch pass + through pass + weighted pass = a perfect passing, and I know for sure that many others thought that too. At least we have the knowledge now going forward, and where I may have put weighted pass on Platini, instead I went for fighting spirit 💪 Thank you again, for this amazing content 🙏✌️

Hey! Glad to hear you like the video this much🙏 Absolutely, at some point, any of us is wrong or has outdated information, it just happens, as long as we're open to learn, it's all fine👍 Keep in mind though that I only summarized it, Voidrive translated and aggregated everything and Amadeusz is actually the true MVP because he acquired the knowledge🏆
@busbyboy776 күн бұрын
@PESPepe , yes and it's great that they did that, but a lot can be lost in translation and it's brilliant to have it here in a more specific term as what it actually means/translates to us I guess. Do you think that when we get defenders that come with super sub that their defencive awareness raises by 5% maybe, like Tomiyasu for instance? I'll probably try and change some of my existing players, like my showtime Mbappe with weighted pass 🙈 Hopefully get fighting spirit, but then there's the danger that it might give him track back 😬 It's probably best left for now just in case 😅 But for sure, those guys are great for what they have found, and it will really help pick my skills to have more useful ones in the future 🙌
@PESPepe5 күн бұрын
I'm pretty sure defensive awareness is not increased, if anything, it could be heading because as far as I know there was a Tomiyasu POTW with super-sub who scored a header after being subbed in. Just speculation though. Track back isn't actually bad, but better on AMF/RMF/LMF/CMF than strikers. Glad to hear you'll have an easier time picking your skills now🙏
@busbyboy775 күн бұрын
@PESPepe , yeah I put track back on most of my midfielders, but wouldn't fancy it on Mbappe 😅 Yeah the last big time Tomiyasu has super sub too, but standard form. It was just a thought 🤷🏻♂️

I'm still sceptical about some of these things based on the testing method. A lot of things like how accel and kick speed work were done mostly in free training where the game state is quite different to a real game. The real in game effect of these stats is real hard to quantify. For instance, I definitely feel accel does make a difference when using sharp touch under pressure and I'm sure kick power makes a difference on any kick taken when under pressure also, but theres no clear way to test it properly, i just know when I play I find high accel players and players with high kick power are much more realiable in certain situations which work counter to what the testing suggests

I was paying more attention to the game play in the video than the information, the dribbling and finishing display here is absolutely phenomenal. That kind of dribble probably takes years to perfectly execute.
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Thank you very much, love to hear you like it🙏 It's mostly a matter of practise and getting the feeling for it so that you don't really need to think about it in the game too much because you'll subconciously recognize patterns and automatically know what to do. To be fair, these are the good clips though. Obviously, the games where I fail the finesse dribble three times in a row aren't suitable for a KZbin video😂

Very interesting a lot of info in a short video, you just clarified what we talk about in streams with other experienced players mentioning no names Rockchok 😂 I've seen those speed and acceleration videos before concluding it's not a massively notible difference. Super sub one was new for me and I always thought it was form arrow like older games. I think the translation for a lot of the skills are slightly wrong like captaincy does not affect the whole team but only the player who is captain I noticed this myself also Sole Control increases tight possession I don't know by what percentage? I know you covered a lot of them but maybe a video explaining the rest or even all the added skills and what they actually do rather than their Konami translation would be helpful for new players to the game and even us old Pes Vets if they have changed like super sub. Great video Pepe 👍🏻

Also which stat would you prefer for CF, speed or acceleration? Thank you so much for the video!!!
@PESPepe6 күн бұрын
Thanks🙏 The initial phase of dribbling are the first 12 yards. I don't know whether it's known by how much it exactly improves the ball touching frequency, I think I've read that this was actually changed once but I might remember wrong. I'd say both are important, for me, acceleration probably a bit more for most playstyles.

really good. only thing I doubt is weighted pass. when you have weighted pass and play a through ball he puts back spin on it. which allows the ball to travel faster in the beginning and slow down when it has reached the receiver due to the backspin. its very noticeable i think
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Thank you very much🙏 I think I've seen what you mean, but knowing how throroughly the Chinese tester Amadeusz works, I think he probably would have noticed if there was a connection to weighted pass👍
@ben_fade9 күн бұрын
@PESPepeany idea how he determinded that? English description clearly says through passes with backspins. what does the japanese say literally?
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
I'd assume he just did the very same passes with the same player with and without weighted pass a lot of times and saw no difference. As for the translation, the Japanese one has different words for the passes, that's why it's clear which ones are meant there. Here's the translation by Voidrive: "It only applies to forward lofted pass(フライパス) and fly-through pass(フライスルー)(as known as lofted through pass)". If you look at the English version: "enables players to apply backspin when playing lofted passes and through balls improving accuracy", it seems that the word "lofted" is supposed to be an attribute for both passes and through balls, rather than only being part of the term "lofted passes".

I asked someone who is in touch with amadeus directly about the low pass+through passing and he said that the debuffs you mentioned (weak foot, angle, pressure etc) are applied only after skills buffs - so 82+ through passing is the maximum accuracy , the only reason to consider giving more than that is stamina and regular passes (for example i give 85 to Kaka cause his stamina isn't great for AMF and he drops below 50% in the first half every game)
@PESPepe5 күн бұрын
Agreed👍

You briefly mentioned stat cap of 99 when it came to game-changing pass I believe. I think Amadeus also did testing about this and apparently most stats above 99 do have a linear, except the ones related to dribbling.
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hey! I think these are 2 separate things, apologies if I didn't clarify this enough. You probably know this anyway: The regular stat cap basically means that form arrows, manager proficiency boosts and training cannot make a player reach a stat over 99. Individual player boosters as well as additional manager boosters can break the cap though (and Long Range Curler for example too), and if I understood correctly, Amadeusz tested for which stats it makes a difference to go over 99, with the results being as you described. Or in short, with stat cap I didn't mean that the game doesn't allow you to go higher or that it has no effect (in case you meant that, unless I misunderstood), but that there's a limit which everything except for player boosters, additional manager boosters and Long Range Curler for example may exceed. Sorry if this was unclear🙏

nice video kind sir,but i want to correct something regarding stamina stamina does not reduce player's "speed" if ur controlling them (there's been a testing done by japanese streamer with good sample size) stamina only affects speed when your player "controlled by AI" also it affects OA and DA let's just say the more stamina loss the more lazy the AI get and yes it does reduce every stat but speed only when you're not controlling them again nice informative video for newcomers sir 👍🏻
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hello! Thank you very much for the nice words🙏 Very interesting point, I haven't heard about these nuances you mentioned yet, so thank you very much for letting us know!
@kkkkk87679 күн бұрын
@PESPepe my pleasure! also i wanna add something problem with efootball is there's alot of assumptions here and there regarding stats so you actually need to test it yourself with great numbers of sample just like amadeuz did for example regarding passing and kicking power,it's up to you whether to believe or not but there's a relation to it in term of travel time and ball stability while on its way while u could say the travel time between 70 and 95 kicking power is too minimal to make a difference it's like 2-3 frames difference which is not worth it tbh but the main reason for kicking power in passing is to make the ball less wobbly because sometimes if u do long ground pass the ball usually fly abit while travelling and when it lands it does create the "wobbling" effects and kicking power make that "wobbling" effect more stable so the receiver can control it better and again everything i said above is from a test by japanese streamer with good numbers of sample and he did say that a good balance between kicking power and passing is needed to make a good overall pass (85 passing stat + 75-80 kicking power) also he mentions that the games always change in each version where they tweak some things so test like the one he made can be useless or helpful depending how the dev tweak the game i can go all days explaining all this things coz i love deep research efootball stat aspect hahaha edit: the reason why he did the test regarding KP and its effect to passing is because of passing "booster" which made him wonder what does the correlation between them since passing booster does gives KP and he said that it would not make sense that the dev put KP on passing booster for no actual reason and that's the reason why the test was conducted
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Yeah, testing can be really time consuming because one always has to isolate one certain attribute and then repeat it a lot of times. I'm glad there are great people doing it for us👍 Interesting, haven't heard of that one. What's the name of the Japanese streamer, maybe I've heard of him at least.

Sorry, but some of the things Amadeus says are just not true. Kicking power absolutely affects pass speed and the distance of the lofted passes. My Lahm with 79 KP can't loft the ball to the opposite winger, it falls a few meters in front of them, while Reece James with 90 KP puts it right on thier chest. Sure James has more lofted pass, but only 2 or 3 points. Also, I used NC Lobotka for almost a year as a DMF and when I switched to Beckenbauer I immediately felt more zip on long low through balls to the wingers. Btw, kicking power is included in the "passing" booster Weighted pass not being activated for low through balls is not true either. You can see the spin on the ball and it's even mentioned by the English commentator: "nicely weighted pass" Regarding fighting spirit not helping with fatigue, I don't know for sure ,but what I can say is that Konami recently changed the description for fighting spirit and the reduced effects of fatigue are still in there. It actually seems to be more emphasized now As for super sub, I'm pretty sure it affects more than juat finishing. I have it on Ambrosini, who I use exclusively as a DMF, and he is a lot more present when he's not starting Balance may not affect turning around with the ball, but it actually helps with the changes of direction. Rockchok would have something to say about balance and dribbling. From my experience, LS dribbling is a lot easier with Bellingham than with Van Basten and I'm inclined to say that 18 more points in balance (90 vs 72) are what makes the difference instead of the 2 more points in tight possession ( 90 vs 88) or the 3 cm height difference (1.85 vs 1.88). Also, I think that higher balance helps with passes that are not straight forward
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hey! It's fine to have a different opinion, all of the sources of the compilations are in the description, some of them even include links to the original source videos, where you can see the tests he did. If you're certain about them being flawed in terms methodology, feel free to let either Voidrive or Amadeusz know and show them some evidence that corrects them, I've never spoken to Amadeusz so I can't know it for him, but Voidrive is absolutely chill and will welcome any new findings👍 Some things, especially once more time has passed, could be inaccurate depending on when the testing happened because Konami might just have changed stuff. Like for example for version 4.2.0, height matters for ball touching frequency again, whereas it didn't at version 4.

Hi pepe love your explanation. I found amadeus's video before and im struggle to understand what he meant. I hope you could find some more details for offensive awareness stat. Cheers 🎉
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
From what I've read it's mostly a sort of refresh rate, whereas the higher it is, the quicker your player is to react. Could also be that higher offensive awareness has an effect of what runs a player does, but I don't know whether anyone has figured this out yet.

I completely agree, he's an absolute gem to this community, a true champ🙏 As for the visual information, I agree as well, I thought a lot of how I should do it and I'm still not sure whether what I did was a great solution, but I hope it's sufficient. Basically, I knew that for ball touching frequency and phenomenal finishing and such, where the visuals are pretty obvious, I'll just record them. For other things like stamina, fighting spirit, the 2 long range abilities and so on, where the testing is mostly done through repetition, there isn't really anything to show, same for stat increasing abilities like through passing, pin point crossing and so on. For again other abilities such as edged crossing or aerial fort, I lack the players to actually record the animations because I've never spent on any of these packs. So I thought I'll mostly just stick to gameplay goals to fill the gaps and make sure to inform as good as I can. Not sure if it's the ideal solution, but I hope it's sufficient, I can totally see your point👍

@PESPepe explain me something if you got it better than me. You said in the video when a player makes passes and he is out of position he is losing 10% or 20% . The question is.This is happening When we start him in position in fade green or not green at all or.. his stats is reducing when he make the pass while he is moving during the game in those areas (fade green , not green ). I think its the first but if you know , please confirm, thank you
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
These are only for the positions they occupy in your game plan. If your player is a left midfielder and you play him as a left midfielder but he is a roaming flank and runs into the middle, he still has all of his stats because he is occupying the left midfielder position in your game plan. Where on the pitch he is doesn't matter. It's only if somebody is for example a defensive midfielder and has no proficiency in playing center back, yet, you use him as a center back in your game plan, then, he will get the reduction. It has nothing to do with passing👍

What a gem of a video! Incredible!❤ I have some questions though. Regarding aerial ability. What is the relationship between jump height and jumping stat? If jump height is what ultimately determines, then why does the jump stat even matter? Are players with better jump height but far worse jump stat better or vice versa? For example Anchor man Vieira with 268 jump height and 76 jump vs Cannavaro with 262 jump height and 99 jump?
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Thank you very much🙏 Jump height is the result of the height of a player and his jump stat. Here's a good explanation by Voidrive: "Btw, if anyone is wondering, the calculation is basically this: at 40 jump, a player can jump 56cm, then each unit of Jumping stat would increase the Jump Height by ~0.66cm, you can do the math now. If it is under pressure, it seems that the effectiveness of each unit of Jump stat would be reduced to 0.5cm."

This is a very interesting video to me so informative. One question, i play full manual a lot. Do stats matter?
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hello! Thank you very much. Somebody has asked this before, so I'll just give you the same answer. Let me quote Voidrive because somebody asked him a similar question: "Since Finishing only determines the accuracy of your shoot(the velocity is determined by Kicking Power), and accuracy is completely determined by your aim with manual shooting, we can deduce that Finishing is irrelevant with manual shooting. If you don't care about Place Kicking and Curl, then it is logical to disregard points in Shooting. Passing is different story, Passing stats determine accuracy and velocity simultaneously, so you still need to increase Passing stats even the accuracy is irrelevant with PA4." www.reddit.com/r/eFootball/comments/1i0iibj/comment/m72nwji/

Man, the game code looks like it's made to generate frustration and increase engagement on the subject. Even OFF-LINE Events are subject to unexpected slowness and I don't see how to explain it. Are games against Game AI also processed on the server? As a developer, that doesn't seem normal to me. When the game is in maintenance, ordinary teams, players with low Overal demonstrate a fluidity in gameplay never seen before. So my conclusion is that all this is thoroughly thought out. That's the vision I have. There are people behind this game who understand the human psyche very well and instruct developers to the success of the game, even if success for us players means something else.
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hey! For me, AI games have always been very responsive and consistent, so I'm pretty sure they're local. About the frustration, you might be onto something here. I don't know if you know rockchok, but I think he wrote his BA thesis about stuff like that and some games were indeed designed to purposely frustrate the player to increase engagement. Not sure if it included eFootball though.

As a possession player, I don't agree with weighted pass. a Player normal through ball with weighted pass skill will have different ball spin animation and the ball will travel more quickly. furthermore, it feels more accurate if you try to pass a long distance normal through pass with it, you can clearly see it during replay animation.

So for defenders what stats is the most important, speed or acceleration ???
@farhi4119 күн бұрын
Speed is definitely more important
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
Hey! Well, it's a bit more complex than this. Generally, I'd just increase them both in a way that's most efficient in regards to progression points or whether you can hit a +3 manager boost. For Possession or Quick Counter for example, speed is a bit more important than for Long Ball Counter because the latter will have its defence fall back earlier rather than keeping a high line, which naturally reduces the distance your defenders have to cover when running back. Also note that speed is also a bit more helpful indirectly, because it'll also increase stamina for you, whereas increasing acceleration also increases offensive awareness and balance, both of which aren't too useful for defenders.
@eMCiKey9 күн бұрын
@DropeCL 100% what pepe said + I noticed that my destroyer needs more speed than others as he is going longer ways in the game.
@DropeCL9 күн бұрын
@ Thanks, I usually train my defenders like this, sacrificing some stats to have more speed since I play with a quick counter, I'll see if I have one where I can remove acceleration and put more speed

Hey! If the AI matches are terrible as well, you can most likely rule out that it's anything connection based. Perhaps it's some sort of overheating issue that drops your frame rate by putting either your CPU or GPU into thermal throttle? Regarding dribbling, for Blitz Messi would I be better off taking away points in Dribbling and putting it in Speed then? In my case he has 89 speed, and all his dribbling is at least 95, with Dribbling and Tight Possession even at 101 and 100 respectively. I have his physical contact at 80 as well.
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
You could reduce it so you either have 100 in dribbling and 99 in tight possession or even 1 point less so it's 99 and 98, it should be absolutely fine. Even in the lowest case, you'd still have 93 ball control which is definitely sufficient. 80 physical might be a bit much, but if it works for you, why not.
@keanenina78729 күн бұрын
@PESPepe thanks for detailed answers Pepe! Do you think there are some thresholds to be met that can unlock certain animations? That's why I aimed 95 for Ball control. Also what do you consider enough physical contact in the current meta? I thought more the better and 80 seems like a nice cut-off
@PESPepe9 күн бұрын
For tight possession, yes, >90 is the last threshold. Well for the physical contact it depends on what your player is supposed to do. A bulky striker like Makaay will always need more than Messi for example. For the latter, it might be more efficient to invest in dexterity / speed to focus on his strong points, but in the end, it's all down to how you play. Makaay for example would also benefit greatly from points in aerial because he'll consistenly be able to challenge most players in the air, which Messi can't.
