@@glofiber1 - exactly, it’s the Mariners who were getting by on the strength of their pitching and little else. They fell out of first place pretty fast, and even fell out of the WC spots. The Phillies have overcome their slump, they overcame the five run first inning deficit, and they have to be the favorite IMO to get to the WS, and even win it. The weaknesses the Phillies have, besides who the fifth starter is (which becomes irrelevant for the playoffs), are hitting with RISP and the pinch hitting. Whether those cost them playoff wins remains to be seen.

@@stevebabiak6997 yea as a Phillies fan I agree with what you’re saying. By watching their games, they have a tough time hitting with risp. But when they are really going they hit a lot of home runs. But the pitching is as strong as ever.
