I think all three parties should share the blame in HSH & RJY's case. Hyrie brought it to their personal social media when she should have acted more professionally and let agencies handle it. Worse than that was HSH, who acted ridiculously with the attitude of high school bullies. She shouldn't have responded to Hyrie's story, which was vague and easy to ignore. Within a couple of months, HSH was involved in two highly talked-about incidents: her odd behavior at a party and the dating drama. (The dating itself wasn't any issue, the reactions were toxic though). This behavior is not very professional. To those who defended her behavior at the party, I would remind them that actors' job is to attend events with professionalism, not to be high and drunk. You wouldn't expect a surgeon, teacher, or bank staff to show up to work (or a professional conference) high and drunk, so why should we accept such behavior from an actor at a promotional event? Lastly, RJY and his agency could have been more vocal and professional about the drama, but unfortunately, they remained silent. n top of all of these, we have harsh and toxic behavior from delusional fans and netizens.

Even though I’m not fond of what Sohee did (the picking fight against Hyeri part, IDC about her and Jungyeol), it is no way in the same magnitude as what Hayoon did. Also most likely it is Jungyeol who lied to her about his relationship with Hyeri.
@samsanchez82317 ай бұрын
I don't really think that So-hee deserves the hate. We are blaming her and not the man?! He is the problem. He didn't say anything when he should've. Honestly, when an idol is trying to speak up for their selves they are rude. I grant you this, if it was a man they would not have said anything but since it is So-hee they will hate it. The truth is leave her alone! Let her be! The Korean public especially netizens are toxic af. You have no right to criticize them. Let them live their life. One thing that is still present is that handsome male idols get away with everything especially when they have sexual assault, they act like their angels but when it is a woman it is so different. I will continue to support her. She is honestly the bomb and does not deserve the hate!!!

Ok, honestly I agree. I do believe she made a mess of things, I don’t like the way she handled it. But again she is human. I am not saying she is innocent, she is clearly not. But my point is I wish some people would leave celebrities alone. Again I am not that blind, if that was this case I would have said she did nothing wrong. Again can we all agree that all are responsible in some way. Please understand I don’t want any hate because of this. We all have all opinions. I feel this causes unnecessary drama

Sadly, once the genie is out of the bottle, it cant go back, innocent or guilty, it’s already out there, doesn’t matter what they say. Who can prove them selves innocent after so many years, this is the world we live in now, and being in the limelight they are targets, also people like their 15 mins of fame, even if its basking in some ones else shadow.

no hate on k netizens. Each country has its own sensitivities. No matter how popular one is,Humbleness is the most expected in Korea. Celebrities are not kids or innocent, they can fight back using law if the accusations are false. Korea is better now in protecting the idols/actors than a decade ago.

Firstly we've all done some stupid things when we were younger, I don't think a person should be canceled for what they did as teenagers( come on they're teenagers!!)that it's like saying just because you rebelled against your parents for a short while then you shouldn't be happy or be successful now. And also why is the accuser refusing to speak to the actress. Why did it happen just when her career peaked And also k netizens have a tendency of associating a certain terrible personally to the character they played Don't get me wrong I don't support violence at all I just don't believe whatever people are saying until everything adds up fully with proof
@cchamming36864 ай бұрын
Honestly, some of this just seems like korea being a misogynistic society and blaming women for a man supposedly cheating. The last guy, he could have spoken up to protect/defend the actress, instead he fed her to the wolves and let the public take her down...he is a big toxic red flag.

i really love when celebrities who used to be a school bullies got called out when they're became adult and success..loveeee it.. advise to school-bully-wannabe : "You Reap What You Sow" : soon or later
@echo.echo084 ай бұрын
Most bullies don't remember the people they bully. Perhaps they only remember their favorites-the ones they bully everyday. But i dont think they remember every single person they tormented. They just remember it being fun because there was a time that had power over others, now they have to constantly pretend to be nice to be liked. There was one bully who beat me and threatened to splash acid on my face just because she found out I had a crush on her crush. It was just one time but it traumatised me and I was always looking around me fearful that i'd get splashed. Years later, we joined the same club in uni and she doesn't remember me and she was acting all nice but her meanness comes out every now and then. When our club went out for some drinks, I got drunk and confronted her, she said she may have been a bad student who often skipped school to party, but she never hurt anyone-either she was lying about not remembering, or her evil head doesn't think beating up someone and threatening to splash them with acid is not considered as "hurting anyone", or she really just forgot because tormenting people once is such an insignificant memory. I left the club because i couldn't stand to see her happy and well-liked without acknowledging and apologizing for the torment she gave me. I find it hard to accept the excuse of "we were young". At that age, it's already common sense that being mean or tormenting others is wrong yet they chose to do it, and the trauma they cause to the people they bully stays with them long term even a lifetime. it's hard to see the bullies and tormentors being happy and enjoying success so, as long as it's proven true, i'm happy to see their careers ruined.

The troubling thing by this cancel culture is that these reports always surface at the height of actors careers. Why now why not say something prior? Also is there no room for growth from previous bad behavior. All to often we here the same stories of mis behavior from years pass. Why are we judging people for actions from 20 years ago? This really needs to stop. A person's complete character shouldn't be defined by one bad moment in time.

So Hee’s media literacy seems questionable but the fans sending hate to the celebs because the guy broke up with his ex girlfriend and now is dating another girl makes me wonder what high school era South Korea is in. Like, relationships don’t work out. Yes, cheating is common. I won’t deny that but so is falling out of love or loving but the relationship not working. That’s one of the wonders of new age dating. Feelings can be 100% genuine but sometimes people don’t have the time and effort to make a relationship work. So date around a little and find the one that’s for you. Also, don’t cheat. If Hyeri hasn’t mentioned in any way that she had a bad fallout with the actor or that she was cheated on or something, like not even a hint of that, I just think it’s a case of fans acting as vigilantes and bullying the hell out of celebs just because. Besides, fans cancelling the two actresses for bullying ‘allegations’ should shut up for a moment. Yes, bullying is severe and leaves scars on the victim’s mind. Do they know what else does the same? When fans/trolls are so drunk on their sense of justice that they act out without any proof and it later is found out that the bullying allegations were false to begin with. It’s that easy to ruin the life and career of some one in the limelight. Yes, there is a chance of them being bullies previously but there’s also the chance of them being innocent and the allegations being someone’s idea of sick fun.

I'm aware of issues like bullying and harassment, but it’s concerning how deeply these problems seem to be ingrained in South Korean society, particularly in relation to beauty standards, societal pressures, and values. While I’m not claiming this is 100% accurate, there are numerous videos and personal accounts that highlight what it’s really like to live there, and the overall atmosphere feels troubling. It’s also alarming that South Korea has one of the highest suicide rates in the world.

Nobody is perfect! When we were younger we all made mistakes. Life is a cycle of learning . People, do not dig up incidents from years ago and slander others who have changed and are trying to lead a better life. You yourself have never done anything wrong in your life time. Jesus said “I forgive you,go and sin no more” And that means we ALL get a chance to start over.

Hyeri was sarcastic towards so hee and so hee replied to it. I for years have listened to this that agencies should not control artists opinion so for me so hee gained my respect after this controversy coz she has no obligation towards hyeri if hyeri is being sarcastic she has also the right. And maybe I am rude or wrong but I felt like Hyeri played that white lotus character in this whole scenario. And i feel a bit disappointed because I liked hyeri and just knew so hee's name.
