Great video, just found this today. Good effort. Looks like the same issue we had, a non glide coat driveshaft locking up after the heat from the first lap of desert making it seize. We also blew out the tail housing on the atlas 1st lap but not the trans, each pit they pumped oil in it and we kept it under 45 in the desert and limped it two more laps for a finish. You captured the story of the struggle and I enjoyed seeing you put the effort into prerunning and fixing the gremlins, so many teams dont put the time into shaking the car down, and from Chicago you dont have a backyard proving ground. Your documentary is an accomplishment to be proud of and captures the true struggle and challenge.

Race footage begins around the 43 minute mark. Does anyone else find the rear trailing arms on this truck to be very undersized? Maybe I am missing something and few suspension is set up differently than I normally see on U4 rigs. So who failed to secure the transfer case bolts? Fuck, I'll be watching for you next year boys.
