pilpoh, the reason the steel plates use the ore hammer is because you set the recipe as 2 ingots and hammer -> plate (recipe from alltheores) also, try and use the MI assembler for as many recipes as you can as it saves up to 50% in ingredients and sometimes even gives more output from the same materials. when unlocking new machines it's always worth considering if some recipes are better served using the machine instead of molecular assemblers
@PilpohАй бұрын
I have all the recipes that produce more in the assembler already in the assembler. The ones that done produce more like the AND/OR/NOT gates i've moved to the molecular assemblers because they kept messing up and making the wrong gate. Good point though! 😉

You are close to the point where I gave up MI for a while because of brain hurting. But from what I got was that the whole oil processing is a progression thing. Meaning you start with the aluminum drill head to get the first oil and can process that to get the resources to be able to build the better stuff easier and then steam crack the better oil before putting it into the distillery. Think you also need the quarry since some of the ores for it can only be obtained by that. Thing it was thungsten that can only be gotten by it. But there is also a bee for that which you can use after getting some from the quarry.
@PilpohАй бұрын
I'm getting there with it! I really need that ruby ore! 😁 I'm at the point now where i need to speed up stainless steel production so i can make the drills quicker!

My exp with MI so far: 1st i started with on-demand, but i a separate provider and machine for each part. Fluids i already had constantly being processed. It got too slow and i changed it. 2nd i started constantly processing every part that can not be crafted in AE2 assembler. things are a lot better now. but i used ingredient buffer and pipes for it, which makes it hard to now apply lubricant to everything, i also had some processing pipelines where i for example make pates and then pipe it directly to make carved plates, which ruins efficiency once you start overclocking next: i wanna just attach AE2 exporter to each machine so i can also apply lubricant and have outputs go directly back into AE2 before further processing. that way i can get rid of all bottlenecks and make sure the industrial complex is operating at peak efficiency :) little side note tip: locking recipes in MI machines is your best friend

I feel like I'm gonna need to expand my base, just for MI in the future 😂 I was told that there is an MI ingredient in the ATM star recipe but that's not confirmed 🤔 gotta hope I'm already at that point 😂

@@Pilpoh i started progressing again and once you have hot ingots and cooling and also distillation towers... building space is evaporating. well at least for me to keep throughput up with processing pipelines lol

In the info at the top of ur screen it says "research table (removed from the mod)". Thats why it doesnt work. They turned that in to ( shift in inventory on the item).

Whenever you decide to do some Applied Flux I would also suggest some Applied Mekanistics. It can make your setups so clean, no need for any barrels, cables or pipes to pump into 2 separate sides. If you have infuse types directly in the chemical form instead of items they will just go into input side directly from the pattern provider. It's also easy to automate the conversion of items into chemicals so you even don't have to keep track whether you have it in stock or not.
@PilpohАй бұрын
Once I got bees set up I'll probably just export the enriched mats to the infusers, way simpler in the pattern at that point 🤔
@dejsimiwerkin8681Ай бұрын
@@Pilpoh I see, interesting. I also watch 1 other MC channel and they also seem to always set up separate infusers and just pump them full with infusion mats. That makes me wonder is there some downside to chemicals directly aside from having it in the pattern, or is it just a habit/preference? 🤔
@PilpohАй бұрын
No downside, it's just easier to describe on camera if you know what I mean 🤔

Not that you need more sugar cane, but snad is in the pack and a snad setup can be stupid fast for cactus and sugar cane. I rebuilt my cactus farm and it is quite a bit of cactus (1k+) per minute with 25 snad and 25 starter cacti. Although I do have the obligatory Just Dire Things item collector to pick up all the cactus instead of the vanilla water stream collection method.
@PilpohАй бұрын
If I need more sugar, I should look into that 😁

Think your autocrafts fail cause your discs are flooded with bee products and the drawers can't take it all. One thing I sometimes do to prevent that is adding void updates to drawers. Sure it voids resources but keeps the discs from getting flooded. And when you see that drawers are full you can always add upgrades to stop the voiding. For the recipes in the MI machines that have multiple outputs you need to lock the machine to what you want. Can do that my opening the machine and clicking the plus sign in EMI. This locks the input and output to that recipe. Means you can't use that machine for other recipes any more tho.
@PilpohАй бұрын
I had a bunch of empty drives which is weird... I heard you can drag and drop the fluid you want from EMI/JEI for the distillery 🤔

I'm not happy about the ethanol either. It's one of the easiest chemicals to make, and the ratio of water to ethanol should be about 10:1 or even 5:1 (and not 100:1, even with beer yeast you can do 20:1) and that's for low-sugar density grain mash, and not for a 1:1 sugar-water mixture (oh, it's actually 8 sugar per water bucket, that is even more egregiously excessive).
@PilpohАй бұрын
That's cause they want you to use the drill I think 🤔 the big distillery can get ethylene so skips that step

I think you now mouse over the relic in your inventory and hold shift. I'm not sure if the table is needed anymore? Things are changing.

How far did you get with Gregtech in ATM9? Modern Industrialisation looks like it is basically Gregtech with a different GUI. ATM9 is a different game now too that they've changed and added so much. It's even harder than when I did it and it was barely bearable then. I don't know if I can face ATM10 if I end up going through the whole thing I did with ATM9. 😅

I got to the point in GT where I was about to make the big multiblock assemblers but decided to stop and call it there. Wish I went all the way, not gonna lie... 🤔 I've thought about getting the world download and booting it back up to finish off but decided not too
@GothBoyUKАй бұрын
@@Pilpoh You were at the perfect point to restart, to be honest. They introduced a new system that 'broke' existing multiblocks in later updates but you were at the place where you'd start using the new system anyway. There's also Draconic Evolution. It'd be interesting to see if you find it like a new modpack compared to what you experienced.
