As these setups are done in my head first I don't know why I didn't just compact the chunks with the upgrade... but I also wanted to show off the Pipzs mod destination tool in this videos so at the end of the day is was a win either way and would have only saved me a few steps anyways.

I literally came here to say this... I use one netherite barrel ,two advanced compacting upgrades with whitelist filters, two stack upgrades, and several entangled blocks from @entangled. From there, I auto smelt my raw, because i just go straight to emc with everything I can, but for ore multiplication, I'd then send those results through an ender chest or other means to my @create area which consists literally of 2 crushing wheels 5 fans a belt and a couple campfires. Also, don't forget that a campfire will activate an encased fan to produce su for small projects that don't require a lot of stress.

could also have used the flux compactor thingy by outputting with a brass funnel set to exactly 16 of the chunks and using filters. (and you can put filters within filters to get more slots.) then you'd never have to worry about it getting clogged up.

Have you considered automating the normal sieves with a modular router in the early game since the resources are basically available from the start? i tried it in combination with an item collector and a sophisticated barrel and it works really well. almost has the max speed of the auto sieve without the need of power

Hey chosen, an easy way to compact the chunks is using an compacting upgrade from sophisticated storage. It will turn the chunks into ores as soon as it enters the barrel

a bit late, but Im hating the compacting upgrade ngl 😭 it turns things like gold blocks to compacted gold blocks, so I have to filter it and do that with every single ingot or thing that I dont want EXTRA compressed and i dont have more filter slots

@@PBCookie It does get a little excited, but it's FAST so kind of worth it, and a lot more slots. Whitelisting helps. Filtering what goes into the chest helps.

Note on the Filter Destination Tool, it is side specific, you must click the side the pipe is on. I had everything dumping into crafter 1.

You know, there should be a mod pack that rewards you for circumventing the “intended” mod pack progression. Know a unique interaction to get Steel before progression normally allows you to? Get an Achievement Quest that becomes visible once the shortcut is achieved. Finding all the hidden shortcuts could have a MASSIVE meta achievement too.

Hey chosen, simple way to automate without using the auto hammer (whitch is power hungry with upgrades), you can use compacting drawer on top of cobble gen and pull compressed cobble x2 to a mekanism crusher. It will give compressed gravel x2, which in turn gives compressed sand x2 for a fraction of the RF usage. Thanks again for all the inspiration you giving us !!!

What do you use for downcrafting? Do you use thermal series multi servo press with unpacking die or rftools crafter or something else? EDIT: Nevermind, a functional storage compacting drawer completely nullifies this. Just pumping in compressed stuff and taking out uncompressed stuff. No waiting or power needed.

Tips for another unlucky fellow that got sucks trade from wandering trader. You can go to ars nouveau route by harvesting frostaya fruit from the cascade island then use them in plain island ritual to change it into snowy biome. There, full blocks water will turned into unlimited ice. and great series as always, you inspire me so much

I am using the pulveriser for the ores. It doubles the ores plus there is a chance for a secondary output. Iron ore will produce two iron dust and a chance for nickel dust. There is an augment to increase the chance of secondary output. The only downside is that the pulveriser won't accept aluminum and osmium. It is worth it IMO since you are increasing your resource production for free.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but Sophisticated Storage has upgrades, and by crafting a compacting upgrade, you can have the barrel, under the flux hammer, auto compact the chunks into blocks. It will also compact redstone, and other ores into block form. All I did with the setting in the compacting upgrade was enable compact anything, and works in GUI. you do want to put amethyst, dripstone, and lapis lazuli in the block list, since they will also craft into blocks, and for some reason there is a lapis brick block crafted from 4 lapis lazuli.

I found there is a new upgrade for the sophisticated storage called compacting upgrades you can now make 2x2 and 3x3 directly inside the barrel, basically eliminating the need for the rf hungry compactors, toss in an advanced connector and controller from xnet and you can simplify everything. (plus save some RF)

You can use the compacting upgrade for sophisticated barrels (The 2x2 one) for the ore chunks, and then blacklist items you don't want to be compacted in the barrels.

You can pretty easily get creative flight at this point by making a supremium chestplate and a flight augment it only requires a few prosperity shards and a couple of insanium essence 😁 make boots with a no fall damage augment and thats sorted too 💁‍♂️

you could use another rftools crafter to double the ores again with hammers, for a total of nearly 4x ore duplication right off the bat at the beginning of a playthrough. and you can keep the hammers stocked from a barrel by only allowing them in a single slot and just have a hopper upgrade inserting them into the crafter.

You could use the compacting upgrade for the barrels for compressing the ore chunks

Instead of using Crafters the compacting upgrade from sophisticated storage will auto compact the chunks and all other materials into blocks/ores. Doing it that way is instant and doesn't use power

An even easier way to make ice is using Botania to make snow, then you can craft ice using water and snowballs in a barrel. can be made very cheap and early

I know you aren't there yet but you can use compacting drawers and a mekanism crusher instead of an auto hammer to hammer 2x compressed. It is faster and uses less power

For end game power I recommend thermo gens from powah with dark matter blocks. Each of mine are making 45500fe per tick which I don't know if it is a lot but it seems like it

Any reactor will dwarf this. The bigger reactor setups will generate hundred of thousands rf/tick. Same for the nitro reactor from powah, but that one requires quite a bit of different resources.

Hi i have a question about the item filtering for the sieving process when it is initially transferred from the cobble gen sieve system to the storage controller under the crafters. I keep getting diamonds and emeralds and the non ore chunks in the crafting area and i want to separate those into another barrel. Is there any way to do that, thanks.

My tier 3 crafters from RFTools keep glitching. I have every material in them and recipes set, but only some recipes work and others don’t. It’s really frustrating. I ended up making tier 1’s to craft all the Mystical Agriculture essence blocks separately.

25:00 u explained it wrong. the amethyst does have a recipe for a block (u sayed it doesnt have a recipe). but it have a 2by2 recipe, the ores and the upgrade are for or have a 3by3 recipes. for the 2by2 u need the upgraded version or an other upgrade

You do want to filter the crafters, otherwise you run the risk of it filling with just one item and there being no room for others.
