Again, thank you for the reply. INEOS would be a good follow on for Cam Mason. Irrespective of how good Tom Pidcock is, I think it would be sensible for INEOS to have a couple of solid riders behind him during his CX exploits this season. But i would not be surprised if a Belgium team signed him. Also I think Trinity Racing would do well to sign up Corran Carrick-Anderson.

I was wondering about the current UK U23 cyclocross champion - Cameron Mason. I could be mistaken but does he not have to leave Trinity Racing very soon? And if so which teams are looking at him?

Trinity are indeed a U23 team, I recall Cam also mentioned somewhere, maybe his KZbin Channel, that he'd be moving on soon. He has ambitions in Cross and Mountain Bike but also wants to explore the road so he'll want a team that does all 3. Alpecin and INEOS would be the logical fits in that case, Trek are also involved in all 3 disciplines but I don't think there's anybody who races all 3 disciplines for the team (Jolanda Neff for example races for Trek on CX and MTB but her road races have come for the Swiss National Team). Being British I'd imagine Mason would fit best at INEOS and he was with Tom Pidcock and Ben Turner at Trinity and they've both made the move to INEOS as well so there is an established route there. As far as I'm aware there's nothing known officially, but I'd imagine someone like Cam Mason won't struggle to get a deal at this point in his career.

Three current CX World Champions are racing the MTB Worlds in Les Gets, and are medal possibles (in fact, Christen placed 2nd) ; I'm not sure that has happened too often, as most tend to be road focused.

It sure is an interesting development after the last few years. Pieterse 2nd as well, that's a trend Pidcock won't want to continue. Also funny how all of Christen, Pieterse and Pidcock took their World Titles on the same day iirc.

Eddie Merckx barely qualifies as a bottle carrier for the greatest cyclist of all time, Marianne Vos.
