kinda late video, but this should give a rough idea what to expect from the grips coming in Operation Breakaway.
things to note:
-all the footage was recorded in the CTE, so these aren't the final states of the grips, obviously (we can expect some adjustments in the live build)
-a lot of the animations are kinda jank here, those are gonna be ironed out.
-the point shooting grip isn't coming in 1.8 (hopefully in a later update it will)... it was kinda half-baked anyways
-weapon swap speeds seem to be universal among most guns (exceptions being MGs and AMRs)
-aiming grip doesn't do much when standing still, but apparently helps when going from sprinting to ADS
-reload grip has the most varied effect on guns as far as I can tell... e.g. the G3 benefits more from it than an AK imo
words from Mikee on the Sandstorm discord: "We'll go more into that later but we can say we bumped damage on the underbarrel shotguns, rebalanced the grips, and removed the Point Shooting Grip. The PSG felt like it needed more time to explore in terms of gameplay balance and overall implementation. It felt like it was missing key features like a clearer way of knowing when you're in point shooting mode, better animations, and just general polish/bug fixing."
