When they debuted, everyone thought Studio 60 was a sure fire hit and 30 Rock had little chance. Despite poor ratings, 30 Rock lived on and became a masterpiece. Go figure.

She was fictionally almost nominated in "For Your Consideration" in which she plays Marilyn Hack, an actress who goes off the deep end when the talk of Oscar buzz drives her to it. There was some talk about Catherine actually getting a nod by the Academy but, like the movie, she was passed over. Perhaps it cut a little too close to home.

When Elvis Costello popped up in the scene with Mary J. I remembered that he was nominated for best song, along with T. Bone Burnett, for Scarlet Tide from Cold Mountain. I love his music but I also remember his comedy bit on the Larry Sanders show in the 1990's, when he bought Hank's car which led to nothing but trouble.
