Contrary to what you might think, Resident Evil is one of the only film franchises where the title with "final" in the name actually WAS the final one. It's not Friday the 13th. I also didn't realize the third RE movie ripped off Romero's Day of the Dead (the Bub scenes).

I love that everyone thought the Final Chapter... wasn't. We've all been trained by meaningless names and numberings and endless reboots to know there's never *really* a "final" chapter. Sooner or later there will be a soft or hard reboot and they'll have been right. I mean, just look at the games. I dare anyone to put *those* in order without a reference. And hell, just look at the name "Resident Evil" itself, which makes no sense after the first game, because whoever was in charge of the English localization of "Biohazard" didn't think ahead.
