Love the smooth translation for "Andan en chinga los meseros" to "The waiters are running like crazy" lol bastante comicas las traducciones, ninguna mala palabra llega a los subtitulos en Ingles, si alguien los lee pensaria que el tipo es muy correcto cuando de hecho tiene un humor y un lexico que hace de esta serie un exito por sus mexicanismos, en mi opinion.
@luis0293knk5 жыл бұрын
Y cuando traduce chingón como fucking great?
@joseg.castaneda89915 жыл бұрын
@thomas samson the word chinga litteraly translates to "fuck", which in spanish has probably dozens of interpretations depending on the tone and manner, it can be good, bad, firendly, agressive, who knows.... but in this case it's hard to figure out a literal translation since there are not other accompanying words with "chinga", the closest I'd say it translates to, "The waitress are in fucking rush", this guy curses like few Mexicans I've known, but he's a really good host, funny how Vice never translates his cursing into the english equivalents, they always water down the translation and use non-offensive words in the subs.
@kevinswift86545 жыл бұрын

When I was a kid, we lived in Tepic, Nayarit for more than a year. 1989, year of the fifa world cup. I can clearly remember all those amazing dishes we had at different stalls and restaurants. My dad worked as agronomist, so we visited the rural areas quite often. I tasted all the REAL home made stuff, pozole, tamales, chilaquiles served with friholes nefritos, sope, and many others. Mexican cuisine is so colorful, I miss it so much! My parents didn't let me to eat ceviche because of the risk of infection. I stole it from the table sometimes haha!

He didn’t say his dad invented it. I mean not 5 seconds before he supposedly said his dad “invented” it he said that they were just innovators. so any logical person with any reading comprehension could deduce that he didn’t say his dad had invented it, only that his dad had innovated by adding adobo marinate.
