I love both Kikyo and Kagome!!! I love all the characters, main cast and the villains and other filler characters....anyways, they are the one who give the anime colorful and meaningful story...there's no point of bashing on anime characters because afterall, they make the story more interesting...imagine without Kikyo, the love between Inuyasha and Kagome will not be that interesting and will not be stronger (although there's Koga and Hojo, but I think their effect is just little unlike Kikyo's character... just saying, stop this nonsense fight over anime characters... :)

I find it ironic that so many people like Kagome and yet hate Kikyo due to her relationship with Inuyasha. When if you think about it, even if Kikyo's dead for 50 years, she makes far more sense being paired with a demon thats been sealed for 50 years than a girl from a completely different era and that her feelings for Inuyasha are somehow wrong when Kagome shows up and falls for Inuyasha and then gets all down because inuyasha has feelings for the woman he was willing to become human for.

1.- InuYasha´s first love was Kikyou 2.-InuYasha and Kikyou didn't trust in each other so much, because Kikyo couldn't trust in demons (She was a Miko and had to protect the shikon) and InuYasha didn't trust the humans because he was rejected by them. But they loved each other. 3.-Kagome could heal InuYasha, that's why he now can trust in humans and help them. InuYasha loves Kikyo and Kagome, and both know that. Stop fighting people, you are just making a war for nothing :(

@EphaunEnforcer And in honestly, I think Kikyo was good about the whole situation. Even if she was a little cold at times. She hardly ever tried to intentionally interfere with Inuyasha and Kagome. In fact she seemed to realize Kagome's feelings and actually seemed to distance herself from Inuyasha despite the fact that the two of them were both after Naraku. It's not like she tried to tag along with Inuyasha and try to force Kagome away from Inuyasha.

Tastes do change when you get older. I used to love Kagome too, but then something happened: I grew up, and I became a writer. Even I know that Kagome is no more then a marketing tool. That doesn't mean I hate Kagome fans for liking Kagome, but when they force their opinions on me and don't listen to mine, that's when I have a problem, and Kagfans, and Kaghaters, like that emokagrhino person, do that so very often it's irritating.

But in Japan the schooling system is different. There are three years of middle school. 7th, 8th, and 9th. Then there are only three years in high school. 10th, 11th, and 12th. I know this because m Japanese teacher was actually Japanese. She lived in Japan for middle and high school.
