Hi Jennifer! Thank you! Examples: 1) My friend is a chatterbox. Whenever we meet he speaks all the time and I can't get a word in edgeways. It's a bit annoying. 2) My all-time ice cream flavor is vanilla. If you want you can flavor it with different kinds of sweet toppings. 3) The water level is at an all-time low in California. 4) The company's profit was at an all-time high last year.

In English, some words fit together while some don't. This is called collocation. For example, I can speak, I work all the time but I cannot speak, I work all the day. The second sentence does not need the 'the' article. This is quite confusing and requires memorization. 'all the time' and 'all-time' have very different meanings. For example, I work all the time. In this sentence, 'all the time' plays the function of the adverb. My all-time favorite film is Gone With the Wind. In this sentence, 'all-time' is an adjective, it means best. Thank you, teacher, for these advanced vocabulary.

Hello Jennifer! Nice to see you! You have a great style! I'm out of my words to describe how that dress suits you:) I liked the lesson much as usual. Nevertheless, it's a pity that there is no logical explanation of why we need to use the article in the construction . My examples: I think about the global problems of humanity all the time. She used to walk with her doggy in the nearest park all the time. His all-time favorite car is Aston Martin. The productive level will be at an all-time low for some time. The socialization level is at an all-time high now. My all-time favorite ice-cream flavor is a chocolate flavor. Thanks a lot for the lesson! Have a great weekend!

Yeah, it's too bad that English has so many contradictions and irregular patterns. But I imagine that all languages do ;)

I started my Master's degree this year, and sometimes It requires to study all night without taking a rest. So the whole last week I fell sick and I couldn't catch up on what I have missed, subsequently I have to work all next week, and it's so hard for me because I used to work all the time when I was undergrad, but now I don't know how to do anymore!
