It surprises me that so many of the jokes are not really against Swedes but rather what the writers thinks is Swedish, witch for them seems to be a mish mash of all Nordic countries and Germany.

@@theowatt10 A a jazz head, I lost track already in the mid 1980s of any form of logic or sense in these subgenres. I don't even really undestand what hard rock means. People that use the term often seems to mean blues based and folk music influenced music with some nice hang in the guitar sound. But I don't really hear the "hard" part in that music (although some had a punk attitude on stage and on covers, especially "glam" bands like Sweet or Fanny). To me, it sounds in many ways softer than original american rock (chuck berry, bill haley, etc).
@linus5171
@linus5171 3 жыл бұрын
@@herrbonk3635 I’m from Sweden too and a huge death metal fan and guitar player. Metal as a genre is quite small. And death metal is one of the more brutal genres. So the percentage of fans and bands in the world is small. But it just so happens that Sweden has the most deathmetal band and fans in percentage. Gothenburg is even named the capital of Swedish death metal. Sweden has come with many great bands ranging from Entombed to Opeth. Not everyone likes the genre. But once you start listening to it. You won’t stop.

Im sure some non swedes will find a way to call this offensive. Meanwhile i as a swede just sit with a stupid smile throughout the video. 2:15 Lisa was already my favorite character but this made me like her so much more. Im just suprised they didn't go the easier route and instead of "förärat" used "heder" wich is much closer to "honor" and a lack of "Ä" woulnt be a issue. It was a good attempt and i ironically found her easier to understand than the "swedish characters". 5:07 RIP Pirate Bay. You are in a better place now with your friend Napster

Judas Pries I saw them live once. I am not sure but I think they might be a mix between U.k. and U.s. members. Not sure. The logic behind is to paralyze the Swede with metal, by love, and use something from the U.s. to trick the Simpsons back into the U.s. from the embassy.
