Subnautica is an open world, underwater exploration and adventure game currently under construction at Unknown Worlds, the independent developer behind Natural Selection 2.
After crash landing on an alien ocean world, the only way to go is down. Subnautica's oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore Kelp Forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful.

The prawn suit with the grapple arm is the fastest vehicle in the game. I've lost a few of them because of it. You go faster than the game can spawn the ground, and when it does, sometimes you're in it! Haha Love this game! Thanks!

Mr. Rodrick always I say you get for your upgrades I say mark 2 or 3, fire suppression, sonar, shield, repair, and decoy when you get iron batteries the engine module is just garbage then

You need to get the wall lockers put into the lower floor of the Cyclops for more storage soon. Also, the Prawn suit isn't in the red and black colors to match the others. And could you build the stasis rifle, too?

In my opinion you should not start below zero until later on in this series

Things you can do to avoid goes and back to your main base is actually building a second base in the lost river :). You then shall take everything's needed to do so and put it in your Cyclops. Lost River has plenty of resources you can harvest with Prawn's drilling arm. In addition, to avoid blind search of a given type of resource you shall build the scanning room, it's really handy :) BTW great series on one of my favorites games of almost last 5 years ! :) Great job Z1, can't wait to see more :) !

The stillsuit is awesome for keeping you hydrated. The charge fins are kind of worthless. They only work while swimming (not with seaglide), only charge the item in you hand, and make you go super slow.

Wrong about charge fins. They DO recharge seaglide. Basically these on + glide = endless swim. Seaglide remains 100% charged forever. That aside, massive [re]building session outside wit crarge fins on ensures no need to be worried about builder tool charge + usually one does NOT need fast swimming while building stuff

I find the base Subnautica game more appealing. I like tropical waters more than an arctic ocean; plus the feeling of being completely lost and alone on an alien planet is represented FAR better in the base game than in Below Zero.

You should get the Hull Reinforcement Module for the Prawn Suit. It really helps if you get attacked! I avoided death with it once!

If you want to charge more batteries, dock your prawn suit and replace the batteries with the dead one, so U get charged batteries and the dead batteries get charged also

From the blue screen in the Cyclops, you can access the inventory and the upgrade, from the vehicle you have dockt. (And you most have a vehicle dockt. To do anything on the blue screen).

As soon as you can, get the heat charger upgrade for the cyclops. So it can charge in warm biomes. Just swap it for the repair module. You always ever need one of them at a time. But never forget to change it back, once you get with the prawn into the cyclops and travel, it can repair.

Hi, I'm new to your channel and I have a suggestion for your new base (in the lost river). Where the skeletal remains are (maybe another 100m below where you ended last episode) there are heat vents. You can place a thermal power generator ontop of a vent and it will connect to your base if it's close enough. I feel like getting uranite would be much harder. Although it might not be the best place given the heat, you could build your entrance higher up, since the heat varies a lot in the surroundings

I stand by the seamoth as a late game vehicle. Prawn suit more mission oriented, but a fully upgraded seamoth is nothing to sneeze at for exploration.

With the energy efficiency upgrade you can put powercell charger IN the cyclops and it will charge the dead cells faster than they get depleted ... at least that used to be the case ... not sure if it's still possible in the current version though
