This sounds great, I'm on the fence between this and a Surfy Bear. I prefer the spring sound of the Surfy Bear metal but it's so big and needs a lot of power to run

Don't like the spring part. Very cheap and high-pitched screaming sound comparing to a surfybear. The trem part sounds nice, very warm.

The problem with the surfybear from what I've heard in demos is it sounds like an outboard tank rather than an onboard reverb. This one is probably the closest you can get to a Fender Onboard Reverb in analog pedal form I think

The reverb sounds harsh to me but I'm no expert so maybe that's the way the older amps sounded?

@@mr.d.572 I found another pedal that sounds closer to a Fender Onboard Reverb. It's called the Van Amps Solemate. Although it's discontinued, you can still find them on Reverb. I still haven't purchased one but there's a video on KZbin that compares a Fender Amp with it and it sounds pretty close. I think the reason the White Whale may sound harsh is because it has short springs
