The funny thing about Euro 88 was that England were actually genuine title contenders. The 1986 WC was just two years behind the 3 lions and they'd been so good in Mexico that eventual champions Argentina needed to cheat before they could beat England. How that WC 86 Team could completely disintegrate in the space of just 2 years is a mystery.

In honesty, not as bad as it seemed at the time. It's catchy and quite a good video. One thing though, listening to the lyrics, I wonder if it was intended for other potential artists/groups. Every word could easily apply to a relationship. No mention of football at all, though the words work for football.
