У большинства мужиков, слово «баба» никак не отличается от «мужик». И даже есть девушки, которые сами называют других девушек «бабами» и никто не обижается. Нельзя так серьезно относится к жизни и на все обижаться, можно с ума сойти)

Как русская девушка, я бы сказала, что если вы любую female назовете девушкой, она никогда не обидится. Потому что если вы девочку назовете девушкой, она посчитает себя взрослой и ей будет приятно, а если женщину девушкой, значит она моложе своих лет, следовательно отлично выглядит. Так что дорогие иностранцы! Зовите русских девушек - девушками, и будете в выигрыше 100%

Согласен, но я думаю, что это не будет работать в крайностях. Ну то есть, если ты назовёшь конкретно 90-летнию старушку девушкой, она скорее подумает, что ты над ней издеваешься. А если 5 летнию девочку девушкой, то это просто будет выглядеть очень глупо. А так в промежутке с 11 по +- 70 лет можно звать девушками.

I’m from Russia and I want add something about female. В видео автор забыл упомянуть слово «детка» from russian slang. «Детка» is baby. It’s beautiful and sexual word. А ну ещё хочу заметить, что «девочка» - female до начала полового созревания и до начала «поломки» голоса. «Девочка» = от 0 до 12-13 лет «Девушка» = от 14 до 45 лет примерно «Дева» = от 45 до ∞ лет Также есть MILF/«Милфа» = 30 - 50 лет примерно. Насчёт «шкура» Васян не очень пояснил по понятиям. У слова «шкура» есть синонимы: «блудница», «дешёвка», «проститутка», «шалава», «шлюха», «бл#дина». Вообщем «шкура» спит со всеми подряд, иногда за деньги/подарки.

Actually, the word "милая" is a little more interesting. Of course, now it means "a cute one" but it refers to a more old word - a verb "миловать" which is still present in Russian(however in the meaning "to pardon") and some other slavic languages(like Czech, for example) and this word meant "to love/to adore". So, when you use "милая/милый" in your speech you're really saying the same as "любимая/любимый".

@@larsswig912 Well, that's an interesting question. Firstly, I should admit that Google translate isn't totally wrong as "ма́лый/ма́лая" really means "small". However, there is another word - "мало́й/мала́я" which means "a young one" or, in spoken language it means "a child/a kid/a baby". So this guy has called you "a babe". Such address is very common among young people in Russia.

Слово "женщина" стилистически, вообще говоря, непростое. В третьем лице в большинстве возможных контекстов назвать женщиной можно и маленькую девочку и старушку. Example: маякни́ как только закончишь работу - notice me just as you'll have finished the work Мая́чить - be far but not unnoticed. маякнуть also means ''to send a notification that asks to call back''. it used to be popular back when mobile internet was barely a thing. and whenever someone would run out of money on their mobile account and couldn't call the other person, they would маякнуть that other person so that that they would call back маячить doesn't necessarily imply that something is ''moving'' in the distance. one might even say ''хватить маячить у меня перед глазами" which means that someone's presence in front of the other person is bugging/disturbing that someone and that it's a nuisance

4:18-4:36 I never knew that the age range of a девушка is until 50 years old. From then on, she is a женщина. In my native tongue Dutch we say "meisje" to a girl until she is about 18 years old or so. From then on she is a "vrouw". For the Dutch law "meisje" actually doesn't exist, and "vrouw" can be a female person of any age, as far as I know.

It's very unstable chart of ranges, it could vary from the context and from the how people personally feel about it. Etymologically words with the root "дев-": девочка, девушка, девица and etc come from the word "дева" -- "virgin" (or "maiden") and back in the times they referred to unmarried ones. And once "девушка" was married, she became "женщина". A lady who is already old but never had a man in her life is "старая дева" - "an old maiden". Even though Фёдор told about the example of one who can get offended and say "я не женщина, я девушка!" you can also face the opposite case: calling some young looking lady "девушка" and get her concerned like "да какая я же девушка, у меня уже трое детей!" - "how am I девушка, I have 3 kids already!". I can say that it's fine to call a 30+ lady as "женщина" or "молодая женщина" if you want to be precise when you describe a person to someone. For example: "новый врач в поликлинике - молодая женщина" - "there's a new doctor in clinic - a young woman". So it's very flexible, it's not like there are some strict rules.

Ну поняли короче, такая модная вся из себя. Чика - это даже не обидное слово никакое. Ну обычное слово чика.. Следующее слово уже грубое - шкура. Шкура короче - это девушка, ну которая блин... С которой короче только все хотят переспать и всё короче. С неё даже стрёмно общаться там. Просто пришла к тебе на ночь короче и всё. Ну шкура. Шкура и есть шкура. Но девушек шкурами не называйте в лицо. Это обидно. Можно огрести, очень опасно. Ну и последнее слово короче самое грубое. Самое ваще грубое. Это ТП. ТП сокращенно Тупая Пизда. Это матерное слово, поэтому если вы дети - от экранов короче уйдите. Тупая пизда это короче такая девушка которая те постоянно проблемы создаёт. Просто ужасная женщина. Те с неё тока одни проблемы, ничё хорошего, ниче приятного, просто одни проблемы. Тупую пизду ваще обходить за километр короче надо. В общем ваще лучше с ней не связываться, а то проблем с другими чуваками устроит там. Лучше не надо короче. Ну чё всё, пять слов слэноговых, надеюсь всё уяснили. Только поосторожней с этими словами, а то можно и это, огрести короче. Щас вам Федя нормальные слова расскажет.

The former option is like “circle” and “круг”: a circle is окружность and круг is a disk (the 2-dimensional shape), but it's more common to use “circle” and “круг”
