I have found your channel very helpful. Only use coal right now and I only use Weber. I have 6 of their bbqs. I am proud to say based on your videos I have now purchased a Prestige Phantom. Hoping for many great bbqs in our upconing short Scottish Summer. Thanks gents.

I don’t see that enamel finish holding up in the long run, any time you have a matte finish it’s prone to show smudges and streaks in the finish.

Thanks to you I ordered me a Prestige Phantom yesterday after watching your videos. Too bad the rotisserie doesn’t come with the grill as standard here in Sweden 😒, I’ll have to buy it separately. The upper warming rack is available as an after market accessory, it is 28.5 inches wide, it won’t fit my Napoleon LEX 485 , which is 26.5 inches wide, in this video it looks like the rogue is narrower than the prestige, so maybe that upper rack would fit the LEX , the prestige in Canada is called the same or Phantom, it retails for $2050 CDN .

Trying to decide between the Phantom Rogue 425 SE RSIB or the regular Prestige 500 RSIB since these are in a similar price range and the Phantom Prestige is a bit too high. What would you say are the main differences between the two? From watching some of your videos, it seems the main advantages of the Rogue are the upgraded warming rack and slightly lower price point while the main advantages of the Prestige are more vertical space, better hood, cooler knobs, and rotisserie included. I do like the matte black finish of the Rogue but don't really see it as an advantage due to it being more difficult to maintain/clean. Additionally, the larger grill size of the Prestige isn't really an advantage for me and I'd actually prefer to have it offered in the smaller 3 burner size at a lower price point. So, I'm torn between the two right now. Are there any other key differences I'm missing between the two? Do they both have the same grill grates or are they different?

I saw a video of the Phantom Prestige 500 and it looked really dirty after a few cooks. More so than a standard Prestige 500. Can you confirm this? Also, would you say the cast stainless steel grill grid and the custom warming rack are worth the $300 upgrade from the Prestige 500?
@embersliving3 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s hard to say. I haven’t cooked on it extensively. I think it’s worth it for the whole package just with how nice it looks in genreral
@KingTode3 жыл бұрын
@@embersliving my main concern are the cast grates and the matte finish. technically cast steel is more brittle than forged or rolled stainless steel rods like in the Prestige 500. thats why they dont make cast stainless steel swords because theyd break. however, these look a bit thicker, so they might last longer simply because of sheer size. the paint is also a concern. depending on how it was painted or finished, itll probably chip and weather. its too bad this is a brand new grill because theres no one to confirm this.
@KingTode3 жыл бұрын
@@rilanthier thats great to know. out of curiosity, does napoleon send you user manual specific for the Phantom 500. On BBQ Guys, they have a PDF of the manual but it's for the regular Prestige 500. Obviously this grill requires different care than any of their other grills

Napoleon Phantom Prestige grill is terrible. It discolors by the handles and will not come clean. A dime sized paint bubble flaked off my grill. It takes 2 1/2 hours for wings to cook in the basket. There are definitely cool spots on the cooking surface. Customer service is atrocious. I was on hold for 1 hour 3 different days before I gave up. The doors have a big gap. I want my Weber back!!!!
