Yeah I believe most people leave it out and thinks that they are nowhere near Shiratorizawa but when they see hyped moments in season 3 they wonder how did all that suddenly happened? But it was actually not sudden you can literally see how goated they were getting after each practice and match, not to forget the extra effort they all have been putting for all 2 seasons so far. Also, no one from Karasuno was actually bad, they were average/above average but as they were so enthusiastic to grow they just needed good advice and training and when they got it u can see all their hardwork paying off in the 3rd season.

22:54 I actually didn’t catch this until my most recent rewatch, but the strategy Tsukki uses here is actually something he learned from observing Kuroo during the training camp! There’s a scene where Kuroo jumps straight, but then when Bokuto’s eyeline drifts to aim for a cross, Kuroo switches his block and shuts him down. It then cuts to a shot of Tsukki watching in awe and contemplation. So in this moment with Ushijima, Tsukki set a trap for him. He left that gap open and then switched up his block when he read that Ushijima was taking the bait. The foresight and development that went into this story and its characters is amazing!

I’ve been waiting for 3x04 since y’all started😂 it’s my favorite episode and when I first watched it, it was the first time I cried while watching the show. Hearing Tsukki shout like that after literally _54 episodes_ is just so unbelievably cathartic. Edit; Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the voice actor for Tsukki didn’t record any lines for when the team all shouts together, so this is literally the first time the entire show we hear Tsukki shout like this. He’s never even shouted alongside the team before, which is why it hits so hard. And I love how his teammates don’t freak out at the point-they freak out when they hear him shout, because it’s _Tsukishima_ what do you mean he’s _shouting?!_ I love how analytical and observant Tsukishima is, I love how he spent most of the show being annoyed by things and then uses _annoyance_ to put Shiratorizawa’s setter on edge via one-touches, and how he recognizes that his fellow teammates (especially Tanaka, Kageyama & Hinata, and Nishinoya) are _also_ fraying on the setter’s nerves and starts to view their attacks as essentially additional layers to his slow-burn plan, and I love how he takes initiative and asks to set the timing for the block……just brilliant. Such an incredible character arc👏👏👏

Correct! His VA apparently wasn't allowed to do hyped voice acting for any hype shouting with the rest of the team (also reminder for anyone not aware that in Japan, voice recording for episodes are usually done with EVERY ONE of the VAs and characters in that episode in the recording booth, they all get their turns on the mics depending on which scenes - i'm not sure if it's chronological in an episode so someone correct me about that).

The fact that Karasuno cheers not because the block, not because they won the set but because Tsukki cheered for the first time ever celebrating his achievement, that is something I love about this team. The same happened when Yamaguchi did his first clean point with a serve, the public was "why are they celebrating that much for just 1 point". They were not celebrating the point, they were cheering for his teammate that finally had his payoff for all the hours he trained, that just makes me very 🥹 I love Haikyuu so much, and I love that you guys are enjoying it. I had no doubt that you guys were going to like it!!

The interesting thing on the topic of a Sports Anime, is that Haikyuu is also special in that regard as well. Alot of sports series often double as battle series, giving characters special moves and flashy visuals, making things more fantastical to attract casual audience. But there are few series, like Haikyuu, that exist solely to express love and appreciation to the sport in it's pure form. There are not that many shows like that and a lot of them make into people's most favorite series ever. Haikyuu is also responsible for massive growth of popularity of volleyball all over the world. It was always respected as a sport, but more and more people watch and engage with sport than before, because how good of a job series does in conveying this love and appreciation for sport.

Tsukishima VA wasn't allowed to scream along with the rest of member before this scene came out. So he kinda hold it and wanted to shout with everyone, so that was his first shout out loud and he did alone without a team. Tsukki also made a really great job as a blocker cause he stand for his position block, which is means that block its not always for score but also for take chance for team. Tsukki is kinda trapper for blocking, the scary thing of Tsukki on court is when you think that he is bad it will turns your opinion upside down

I have been waiting for this moment for so long, thank you Studio Gek for fully appreciating this spectacular moment! Just a little bit of context... up to this point Ushijima has never been blocked within his prefecture- so this is the first time this has ever happened! A cool sidenote: the director told Tsukkis VA not to join in on team cheers and celebrations' earlier on the season-until this episode when he was told to let it all out. So not only for Tsukki but this was the VAs first time being able to really let go and express himself- and boy did he, that celebration gets me everytime!

5:49 they are actually the closest as a team, since they all mostly use their firts names, it shows they are very close and we haven't seen it really in other teams 6:11 emmmm it's slowed down by like a thousan so we understand what's happening, but in reality everything happens is less than seconds, the fact that Tendo can read so much in so little time is sooo impressive 8:46 can't really hear here, but if it's about Tsukki's substitution, not all subs are because you are playing badly, in good teams they mostly sub to get an advantage. It was Tsukki's turn to serve, and his serving sucks, just like his receiving, Suga doesn't have a strong serve but he has greaaaat aim, putting it in a difficult possition making the next spike easier to predict, and he is better at receiving, so he can help while Noya is out. Besides he can set so Kageyama is another possible attacker. And since there is a certain amount of subs allowed per set and per player, I assume that's also why he sub with Suga instead of Yamaguchi. 22:32 Just because they aren't kill blocking (blocking that directly scores a point like Tendo's) doesn't mean it's not working, there are many ways of blocking, like their strategy to direct it to Noya or the one touches, it's not that Tsukki is trying to kill block and can only get a touch, it's that he choses to do one touches until he made the opportunity to kill block. Going for the kill block is risky, like Tsukki said, sure, if correct, it's 120% garanteed to get points, but it has less chance of being correct (unless you are soo good at guess blocking like Tendo), while read blocking is 75% succesful, but it's more consistant in being correct, so at least you get a onetouch 22:57 just in case, that's not guess blocking, that's making the hitter believe there is an open path and then shutting it 30:39 there are those who appreciate him, and more than one that have him as favourite character, most I've watched at least give him the credit of being consistant, but I did see a channel that said that they didn't feel he was good, but I already didn't really love their reactions because they constantly missed so much, but not realising Tanaka is soooo consistant and good did it for me, so I'm glad you appreciate him Hahhaha I love that even in a season that he is not really a part off, Oikawa is still a topic of discussion

It's pretty much universally agreed that Ushijima has been blocked at the national level, but most of the fandom are on the fence about whether he's been blocked within the prefecture. Some say he hasn't, some believe Date Tech could've definitely gotten some blocks in since it's been confirmed that Shiratorizawa has played Date Tech before. But one thing everyone can agree on is that Ushijima probably hasn't been 1 on 1 blocked like that before, and to add more context, a top 3 spiker in JAPAN being baited into spiking a certain way and then being kill blocked by an unknown 1st year from a school, that at this point was probably barely top 8 in the prefecture, making a Cinderella run this year. Like that's gotta be some crazy sports news, especially since most can agree that the only team that even has a possibility blocking Ushijima is a team known for their Iron Wall

I probably say it in every video but I am happy that you guys are reacting to Haikyu and really giving time to debrief and have honest discussion on the episodes and giving every character their credit 😊❤ I love S1 and S2, but S3 is really where there will be no breaks and the tears will keep coming haha (I guess technically it starts with the aoba johsai extra lol). Tsuki’s block and reaction was so peak I was shocked I was about to cry. And I once said “it’s just a club” too 🤧 (To add on with the Tanaka appreciation, I can not wait for S4 😆)

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but tendou(aka red guy, aka #5) has the same VA as todo from JJK! His name is Kimura Subaru and he's awesome. Also, lets goooo Tsukkiiiiii! This is definitely one of my favorite haikyuu episodes so im glad you guys liked it!
