Okay first, they are in the middle of a tour, so no Alex's voice is not going to sound perfect. His voice sounds exactly like they are in the middle of a tour. Second, everyone complaining about them turning into a pop group, they have been at this for 14 years now, their tastes are going to change. Also, do you want every single one of their songs/albums to sound exactly same? It's not like this is a 180, it's a natural progression when you listen to Don't Panic -> Future Hearts -> Now. Yes, they want to please their fans, but they also have to happy with the music they are making, and they seem to be happy with it. If you don't like it then fine, that is your own personal preference, but don't shit talk, you can state your opinion in a reasonable manner and move on. Don't do it on every video of it, just don't listen to it, it's as simple as that.

Bands change their sound all the time. It's how they stick around. If they kept putting the same album out over and over people wouldn't be interested anymore. It's okay if you don't like their new sound but complaining won't do anything about it. They're going to take their sound in the direction that they want to.

100% yes. Them putting out any album in general is always going to get negative feedback, same goes for any artist. If they stay sounding the same people complain because it sounds too similar to their old stuff, if they try something new people complain because it doesn't sound like the old stuff. There is no winning either way for artists. Its sad really.

Lower Than Atlantis put out a Live Lounge session about a month ago and it was a little mellow too! I would say that it's not a true reflection on how incredible they and All Time Low are, I saw ATL on Monday night in Edinburgh and they were incredible! I think that the live lounge tends to be early morning, mellow setting and without an awful lot of warming up time. To be honest he only has a few off notes and comes in better when the chorus comes in strong. Different vibe from normal but totally commend them for evolving their sound and not trying to emulate things they did 10 years ago. Well played lads!

A lot of people seem to dislike this song, but I love it! I heard it live at their first London date for the tour, and it sounded phenomenal. Yes, Alex's voice sounds strained, but you've gotta remember he did a show the night before this. They've been touring the UK this month, so without the proper vocal warm ups, his voice is obviously going to sound strained. I promise you that this song can and does sound superb live.

To everyone questioning Alex's voice, please note that he was in the middle of a tour when he sang this. And his voice is still amazing, I saw them live in July a couple months after this was posted and his voice brought shivers down my spine with some of the notes he hit. I love his voice. This may not have been his best performance, but he still is talented.

wow, I expected a lot worse reading the comments before watching the video.. Alex sounds WAYYYYYYYY better on a bad day than most bands in their genre on a good day. Both his voice and their songwriting talent as a whole is why they are still around and successful while a lot of other pop-punk bands from the 2007-2010-ish neon era fizzled out and broke up.

I haven't had the opportunity to hear this song live yet, hopefully I will in August but I know Alex does so much better on stage at their shows. I know he actually screams out the lyrics with so much passion and emotion but I kind of like this version too, it's more mellow and chill and despite Alex's vocals it still sounds awesome. They're in the middle of tour so you can't expect him to sound perfect. I'm so excited for the new album, and I'm expecting a pretty cool sound that is a middle ground between their old pop punk stuff and their newer poppier sounding stuff.
