All Time Low got career advice from a drunk Buddy Nielsen in 2009

The Vans Warped Tour is an opportunity for bands who wouldn't normally tour together to spend the summer getting to know each other, grow as artists and reach out beyond their genre to offer support and respect to their fellow musician. For Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, this camaraderie came in the form of drunkenly stumbling onto All Time Low's tour bus and offering unwarranted career advice in 2009.
Nielsen, now clean and sober, waxes romantic about the paradigm shifting summer of '04, poking fun at other bands and trying to figure out what the hell the deal was with I Set My Friends On Fire. In this episode of Warped Perspective, Nielsen explains why the Warped life is grueling and why the end of the tour is necessary.

when bands would sign with drive-thru records early 00's, it would take a while for the bands to change their website, so their AIM screen names sere available usually. I once had a convo with Buddy on AIM where he suggested my buddies and I drop out of high-school because thats what they did. We didn't take the advice, but we also didn't get big lol

Sheesh. Getting to know Buddy better, I've come to terms that I don't think I'd like him in person as much as I dig his music. I'm ashamed that he's got the gall to shit on bands like All Time Low and I Set My Friends On Fire. I wouldn't expect Buddy to be the kind of prick that shits on people's taste in music but here we are.
