For those wondering, the music that you're hearing in this video isn't actually just the live music that ATL were playing in this performance. ATL will have recorded a 'live sounding' version of poppin' in a studio and it will have been used on top of the live audio from this evenings performance. This is common practice for all 'live DVD's' and ensures a higher quality. For example, if Jack played a wrong note in the actual performance, they'd patch it with the 'live sounding' studio version. That's why you're sometimes hearing things that aren't being played visually.

The song isn't played as it's produced and the chopped and changed it to were Alex would have some of jacks parts and jack would have some of Alex's parts. They have a touring guitarist now so that's changed but yeah Alex does the octave solo now. It's pretty weird
