Just found this. Loved it. I reacted like two girls in the back; I cried through most of it. Felt rage too and I'm 73. Met Miss Swift in 2008 before she released Fearless and told her she'd one day be regarded like Shania Twain, Billy Joel, and the Beatles. She gave me a big hug. Red, the original, was my lifeline in 2013 when my wife of 41 years left me to do some healing from her past. In spite of four attempts to get back together she left for good in 2020 and divorced me after 49 years of marriage. I have so many good memories of our life together but now I'm like "a crumpled up piece of paper lying here". Also "I'm begging for footnotes" in the story of her life. Folklore, Evermore, and Red (TV) are my new lifelines.

This video really got me. Whilst most of the girls were excited and having a ball, the lady right at the back seemed rather removed, showing indifference to the song and video. And yet towards the end she clearly got very emotional and started to cry. I feel there was something about that song which was extremely personal, extremely close to her heart, most likely a bitter memory which she was desparately trying to overcome through-out the song. Her inner torment, held for so long was extremely touching. I sincerely hope she is never put in a position to feel such pain again. We, the viewer, could feel it. I may well be wrong but either way it she clearly shows the power of Taylor Swift and her music. For the record, I'm a 61 year old gent and simply love Taylor's music.

This is what some don’t get about Swifties, and other fans of her music. In a stadium of 90,000 people you still feel seen. Taylor connects the universal life experiences into beautiful lyrics and music. Within only one of her albums you might find some experience you remember all too well . She’s honest in her failures and heartbreaks and that is humanity. She deserves every accolade and my prayer is that she will be a force for good in this world all her days. This is from a 76 yo happily married woman for over 40 years and a swifty for only 2 years, but still feels a heart connection to these young girls because memories linger from my 20s before i finally met my husband at 34, and still love him deeply.
