It's really interesting to compare the evolution of Takara transforming robots, from the JG1 Transformers series, gradually growing more Japanese in their aesthetic from Headmasters to Chojin Masterforce to Victory to Zone to Return of Convoy, then beginning to become it's own fully unique thing with Yuusha/Brave, while still using the techniques learned from designing Transformers

They kinda draw attention to it themselves by reusing later-end transformers figures from Victory, Zone and Return of Convoy. They fit right in in most cases, if you can look past the reuses almost exclusively being of hero characters from Transformers into villains for Brave.

You can tell these stopped being nice chonky toys for all ages and become collectibles right at Baangaan. Suddenly the transformations are a lot fiddlier, and the puppeteer's movements become much more careful, as these will break far more easily than the classic pieces.

Also,17:43 way to go for being true to the transformation sequence. Thunder Baron's transformation theme was waaay too ominous for someone who's meant to be a good guy..unless he's Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho which I doubt.
