I love these videos. I don't have the means to attend any of these events in-person so this gives me a chance to enjoy this great sport! Thank you! Edit: Also the replay from the sled cam is fantastic along with the various other shots from other angles. :)

This is what promoters need to see, this comment. There are plenty of shut ins as well as fans that can't attend in person and we understand that 100%. Also, thank you for the kind words. We strive to make a video we will sit down and watch as well. I had a phone conversation about 2 weeks ago with a puller. He went on for over an hour why he studied our videos: "The footage is crystal clear, the audio lets me hear every engine sound I need to diagnose what I can't hear in the cab when I am pulling." The fellow riding with me, a puller himself, told me after the phone conversation had ended, "If you ever think what you are doing doesn't matter to people, think again" I told him, I get it. I don't want to waste people's time. I want you to enjoy a good video and look forward to the next one. I try to make every video matter. Each one could be my last one I make. And I would like to think it provides a relief from whatever a person may be going through in life and sit back and enjoy some wholesome Americana.

@@WWPTV Yes exactly! I feel like people often don't realize the value of something as simple as good video/audio. It gives us the ability to look back on something and be able to pinpoint issues that can be fixed and areas to be improved. Rest assured I appreciate the quality/time/passion put into them! P.S. Bang on with that end there about needing relief from life.

This makes me happy. I feel so much of my time is wasted editing these videos. This comment makes me think not. I mean the real events are RAW, just they have all the track work and stuff. A typical event is 6 hours. Then edited down it is what 1.30 hours. We do add sled ride on and replay which I think the pulling fans love. At least that’s my hope.

Hello WWPTV - I was just curious who is driving the Nearpass Pulling LLC Sled. And where is the person with the Pulling Sled out of where I’m just curious. Please let me know - Thanks

Dan Nearpass was out of Michigan. Mark Bingham is taking over his operations I believe and they are out of Greenville Ohio.

As a spectator; Do these folks just do pulls or do they actually have farms / ranches and this is just a expensive hobby...?? Nice posting 👍👍👍👍 enjoyed watching 😎🍻✌️👋

Some are farmers, fire fighters, landscapers, arborists, mechanics, engine builders, tire cutters, carb builders, plumbers, ports john owners, septic tank, truckers, potable water distributors, dairy farmers, nurses, doctors, medic nurses, tow trucks, construction, I mean these are all I can think of but it is any job where you can show up and perform at a high level. Most have been working jobs for years and years. And once you have a pulling vehicle you have up keep but it isn't as bad as the initial cost of course.

How is the distance measured because some of them are way off.

There's an IR sensor on the sled.

The tractor sign they spoke of is a reflector. At the end of the track (and sometimes the beggining) they shoot a laser to that sign to get a starting distance and a finishing distance. Then they use a calculator to get the total distance. Some sleds use GPS, some use a gear of the front-rear axle of the sled, and this one uses a laser.
