This was a great video. I will be making a video similar to this. Just not the fancy images etc. that you have. I am not that good in editing yet. Someday I will be. I am just researching this as I have seen so many incorrect facts about this. Your video helped a lot.

I found one in a roll back around 1962. I was 13 and it confused me. Local dealer told me it was fake and illegal. I threw it away as I was scared to keep it.

I just sold a 1939 Henning Nickel for $475.00 that I found in a bunch of nickels a Friend of mine sent me from the mid west. I was told Henning made a spare 1944 Die that was the one no one knew about and it was not a 1941.

Henning did say he made 6 die pairs but only said he made the 1939, 1944, 1946, 1947 and 1953. I have found nothing stating he made any other dates, and I am curious as well, if he did or not.

I have a 1942 with no mint mark I thought all 1942 nickels had the mint mark above monechello. The nickel does not have the silver in it also.

This nickel could be a real nickel. Not all Nickels in 1942 had the mint mark above Monticello. this was a "transition" year. Some were made from the regular alloy, 75% Nickel, 25 % Copper. Later in 1942 the large mint mark was added above Monticello as it was made with 35% silver, to conserve metal for the war.

I was actually informed the 1953 was the rarest. You said the 1939. The 39 is the 2nd most common to the 44.

That is not correct. Henning himself stated he used multiple reverse dies and not all have the "notch". To find out if a nickel is a Henning Nickel you need to weight it. Normal US Mint Nickels weigh approximately 5 grams. Henning Nickels weighted approximately 5.4 grams in most cases. Some say they weighted as light as 4.85 grams as well.
