He recognizes Link through a full-body Yiga disguise.

Ehh, blonde, while not particularly common isn’t exactly rare and the Yiga Clan are willing to take applicants of any race so long as they’re skilled and are willing to wear the drip. What is more damning is the fact that you can pull up to the Yiga Clan Hideout with the Master Sword, without any sort of explanation as to why you have it. This mystical, holy blade that is supposed to be destroyed, was last seen with Link, and could very well be the ONLY thing that can hurt their true master above Kohga…and they just let it slide that you have it on your person.

@@jeremyrossi2716 To be fair, it likely would not be that hard to have a `replica` of the sword, AKA how breath of the wild had one of those fake ones lying around. Especially with the whole weapon decaying thing going around, in actual `theory`, you could have someone selling phony weapons to profit off such a situation, especially when its implied to have been a rather sizable amount of time has passed since Link and Zelda went to check out a hole only for one to be `missing` and the other just shows up out of the blue much later on. Certainly makes me wonder though if anyone found the fake master sword again in tears of the kingdom.

@@koopliss Well, first off, when Sheikah grow old, they tend to shrink with age, which doesn't happen with Kohga, which heavily points towards him not being the same person as the Kohga in AoC. Secondly, Sheikah are still hylians, as Totk finally confirms through its character glossary. If anything, Sheikah and Yiga are the religions that hylians devote themselves to. Plus, we have seen hylians able to live over a hundred years. Take for example Niko, who starts out as fairly young in Wind Waker and winds up a very old man in Spirit Tracks. It's not often, but it is possible just like with real-world humans.

If he weren't bent on destroying Link and Zelda, aside from his general clumsiness, he's the most competent leader in all of Hyrule, and really good with engineering and logistics. He also apparently inspires people to follow him. Were his goals benign instead of malevolent, Hyrule could use him.

i love how only kohga sees through your disguise. you could be holding the master sword, and no other yiga clan member will dare question you. botw, the yiga were an annoyance. but in totk they are like old friends. they have it in them to be good, hell, age of calamity shows just that. they could have used their ingenius inventions to better hyrule. but no, it's always to hunt link down. i do hope for a yiga redemption arc. i absolutely love them in totk.

@@Stormimi i was a bit torn about that. Cause the monks seemd different from the regular sheika, Purah and Impha is the only one alive still. But one has used technology, the other did age. Kooga was never really explained why tho. I guess he simply has the powers like the monks
