She then proceeded to turn up to their place of work the next day with a recipe that she formulated with the sole purpose of it being better than Sojiro's original curry and to perfectly complement the coffee (it successfully did both). Wakaba also fed Futaba that curry when raising her, and Futaba would only eat her mother's curry after her death, probably out of remembrance for her mother, which Sojiro thankfully knew how to make. That curry has a story, like most Asian food. It was a gift to him by his best friend who he also had a crush on. It's the dish that Futaba remembers her mother by. And it was the only thing Futaba would eat before we came along and brought her out of her shell

Man this scene gives Haru SOME justice given her first date is only 20 seconds long. But man is it hard to choose between Ann and Futaba in my opinion, Both are very wholesome and heartwarmingly cute. Plus long distance is very possible with those two, Futaba is a tech genius so she’s ALWAYS connected and since Ann is a successful model so she’d be traveling a lot regardless so there’s that.

I mean I really wish they gave Haru more screen time like they dedicated a ton of scenes to your character and yoshizawa cause they could’ve done that would’ve made choosing between Futaba and Haru tougher for me, reason why I chose Futaba is cause I just enjoy the Nerdy girlfriend trope.

@@kevindolan9 Eh, I can see why people think that, and I kinda agree, but at the same time I just find Sumi too cute to care that she's meant to be the "canon" choice. I held out for her on my first playthrough of Royal and was incredibly glad I did. She was alright throughout the main game, at least up until the school festival (when I decided she was a serious contender for best girl), but she stole the show for me in 3rd semester. I love making Sumi into a tomato during third semester. Nerd GF is great, but easily flustered GF is better in my opinion.
