nah i don't like the scrolls... treasure chest scroll is fine, because its a double chest. Would rather have drawers or double chests than small fancy chests, just the practical guy

Nice tip on the bundles - they seem pretty powerful for holding items you don't get a whole lot of like vault ores where the shulkers are better for things you find more often.

I got incredibly lucky on my playthrough in that I fount an omega room full of ornate chests in my SECOND ever vault which let me get a full set of vault gear straight away. Those rooms are op

Imjust getting crap from altarchests, like cobweb, bones and rotten flesh, im at current version 4.1. and it cost 6 herart or 12 levels.. are they broken or is it random chanse? anyone know?

I wasted a few minutes of one of my vaults trying to kill mobs only to get a few bits of rotten flesh and gunpowder which I could've gotten in the overworld any time I wanted. It was such a waste of my time 😅 And then I had stupid dead coral and string in a time sacrifice chest which definitely made it not worth the time. Thankfully the levels sacrifice one finally gave me 2 echo gems the second time I did one.

I feel like each type of altar should have different chances, like the kill enemies altar wouldn't give a lot of good stuff compared to the time one, which actually asks for something you value.

So, you mentioned crafting statues. I also noticed amongst the loot you discussed, statues for limited supply of items (of course I forgot what they are called) were not present. Does that mean they are gone? Or is there other methods? Because the statues leading to Omega statues are what propel end game item supply automation.

Yeah the statues don't work the same as they used to before. They're going to be a lot harder to make and normal gifter statues don't seem to be in the game currently

I wonder, with all the changes they made to normal vaults, and even gilded ones not having gems in them, vault navigation being gated behind a mod, armor upgrades actually being slightly more expensive and renewability being strained so much, is this modpack even as starter-friendly as in 1.16?

I will say, progressing into mods feels a lot more difficult but the actual progress (vault levels) and running the vaults feels a lot better and more rewarding. Of course it's early days so a lot can and will change but the early game definitely feels a lot better

The runes are very literal this season. If it says 1 common room you will have a 1 room vault that is a common room. You won’t have a big vault and have to go find the common room (crystal room, etc). So it will make it substantially easier to find the rooms you added.

Does anyone know how to make chromatic steel ingots? They've changed the carbon to raw carbon and refined carbon, and I believe they've changed the recipe to make ingots as well. And I have now clue how to make them.

once i got the castle structure with ornate chests... got like 50 ornates that run and not a single gear piece, perhaps that's because i'm just lvl 6 lol

I've only found maybe 1 full set of gear in the chests over 10 levels. The key is the crafting ingredients and making your own, it's so much more reliable

Great video. This is my second time through it, and I had a question. See, I just unlocked Colossal Chests because the Simple Storage Network mod wasn’t playing well with how I have my vanilla chests set up. Plus, I wanted to see how Colossal Chests is maybe better than Iron Chests. However, I need a massive amount of Driftwood to get started. Which chest is best to find Driftwood in? I know it’s in wooden chests of course, but is another one better?

Honestly wooden chests are pretty much the best for driftwood. Colossal chests are just insanely expensive 🙈

6 months later, everything is difficult to make in term of materials. Very expensive and you barely find much useful loot in vaults. At least in my playthrough!

vault gems are now rarer as they don't even spawn in chests only in few poi competing with normal ores. Beniotit is stoppin peoples from progressin in modpack.
