Teve o Tennessee Ernie Ford que regravou em 1955 que foi estouro. Somente gravado em 1971 por Noriel Vilela, a conhecida "16 Toneladas". Tiveram vários cantores que regravaram, traduziram e cantaram versões dessa música. Inclusive a versão espanhola de José Guardiola em 1960.
