That title card was funny (and I knew it was fake too lol). I do have to agree with your overall assessment of the chars. Granted I haven't gotten any DLC so I can't judge the two DLC chars. I think the chars are fine overall, but they do lack depth like in other Farming Sims like Stardew and Coral Island. I am going for Nikolai because I love his design the most and I like his quiet nature.

Good, I tried to make it ridiculous so that people would know it’s not the real ranking, haha. Yeah, I hope future games can have some deeper heart scenes and a better marriage/dating system. The other parts of this game improved so much… would love to see an advanced social system as well!

Ouch! I would put Kaimana in A or at least B. His events are funny and he’s actually trying to break the wall down. The man even built a giant pier by himself! I married him as I feel he’s the funniest candidate and he’s an amazing handy man.

Arnold is actually one of my few favorites. I'm not really into anyone in the first few towns, i'm planning on wooing either him or Nikolai. Love my shy boys.

Love your ranking I married Neil as well we have a girl can't wait for her to get older because having to leave go back where I was is annoying but hey it's your baby makes sense lol. But I do agree with you some characters are one note like mostly people who aren't marriage material are very one note just run a restaurant that's it. I would love to see that change make it to where you see towns folks interacting maybe you can join their conversation that would be fun. The only time the different towns get together is for a very quick festival a couple times a year. The only aspect they really need to beef up otherwise they are heading into a great direction but I do also want your child to be able to grow up as an adult in every game one things that's annoying is most of the games besides wonderful life the child stays a child forever its weird lol makes you feel like you can't progress the story. Maybe your kid will move to another town depends how you raised them. So many ways they could go but I truly hope they keep all that in mind with the next game. Are we getting any new updates from natsume if we're getting more dlc for 2024, of WOA or a new story of seasons.

Yeah, I’m excited to see where both the Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games go in 2024! I hope they both keep improving. Winds of Anthos was really fun but I think they can still keep improving several of the aspects. I don’t know where the next two Story of Seasons are gonna go though! After Olive Town I bet they will try to mix it up again.

The designs in this game are pretty great. However the personalities are all pretty similar though - nice and into their one hobby. I really hpoe the next game will pay more attention to the NPCs.

Yeah, I wish the marriage candidates had more in depth backgrounds. Like, give them strengths and faults. Everyone is a bit too happy go lucky in this game, haha.

Yeah! I really hope either the next Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons puts more of an emphasis on the characters! They have kept almost exactly the same dating system for all of the games since the N64...

Haha, yeah, in new Harvest Moon games, a lot of the characters just have one thing that they are obsessed with (fishing, cooking, music, etc.).

If it helps I think he’s pretty fleshed out. After marriage he repeats dialogue, but I think that’s just how the game is. I love his quirky personality and he’s pretty laid back and handy.

Too many of the guys have similar hair colours, would've liked a bit more diversity there like the girls but they're all very pretty

I actually really love Judy's heart events because she goes through learning about caring doesn't always mean giving someone what they want and to learn and not beat herself up about mistakes. I felt like it was about as deep as this game was going to get. Post marriage is mildly disappointing though. Girl, you and Farmer Molly are married why are you saying you hope y'all stay friends?! What is this?! (Don't even get me started on how bugged the child feels, almost makes it not worth getting married. The kid is great once they're grown, but that's a whole year of wondering if despite doing what you're supposed to you're going to be woken up and exhausted. At least that's been my experience and the experience of some others I've seen talking about it.) While I can see none being S rank it also feels a bit weird to not judge based on the standard set by the game. Like none are overall S rank worthy, but who would be S rank based on the quality of candidates set by the game itself overall? (If anyone.)

Yeah, I think Judy’s hearts scenes (for this game) are quite good… However her design is really basic (especially compared to the other bachelorettes not named Vivi) and she just constantly requests fertilizer, which I like from a gameplay point of view, but don’t like in terms of immersion and personality, haha. And yeah, I guess I could have forced myself to put 2-3 characters in each category so that way there are characters are in the S and D categories, but I really feel like the range of the characters in this game is quite fair. No one sticks out in a good or bad way.

I married Nikolai I enjoyed him but I agree none of them were amazing but they were better than the last game I think and again I married a guy from the winter town 😂

I kind of thought some of the One World characters had better backgrounds… I mean, Braden was tough on the outside but secretly an artist. The girl from the autumn town had daily amnesia and her brother had to deal with the responsibility of taking care of her alone after their parents passed… No one in Anthos has a deep storyline like that.

Well I married Charlotte I am a male character so yeah well I'm doing cooking now done with animal ( expect.bigfoot ones i got 2 /4 and I have 2 space for them I'm in summer year 3 day 14 ) fishing ores and flowers well the hardest part is the vegetables lol

I find that most of the characters are kinda flat. Of all of the NPCs I like Judy and Doc - at least the have some personality.

Actually one of my very first videos was ranking the Stardew Valley bachelors. I have since taken it down though because the editing was awful and I was very stiff on camera at that time, haha. Maybe it’s time for an updated list!

I'm leaning towards Kaimana. He is the only character that actively helped himself when the volcano erupted. His cut scenes show he's helpful to the town's mission mainly because he loves to fish, and his requests make sense and are helpful to the main character. Second choices are Lina & Charlotte. They are active characters too.
