What beautiful in this anime about power level, it wasnt always about OP power. But, teamwork and speciality in using their ability is the key. Along with experience. Even Serie, which I believe strongest mage ever live, Flamme said she cannot defeat Demon King because she is such a warmonger. Not because she is lack of power.

It’s more like Serie could defeat the demon king but her ideology is ruinous, so in the long run her method would be detrimental to humanity as a whole rather than the opposite. Whereas, Himmel and the gang embodies both the correct mindset and method to defeat the demon lord and set the world on the right path to progress. The demon lord also want peace among races, but its method and ideology were twisted due to not having empathy and compassion. Serie, likewise, has a warmongering mindset and is also unfit to make a change that in the end will be beneficial to the world.

@@xalovaid3693 well, given what we know up to this point, Serie is capable of it or at the very least will be given enough time. However, in chap 43, as Flammel said it the reason she cannot is because she could not imagine herself living in a peaceful world and as such does not possess the correct mindset to defeat the demon king. Meanwhile, Frieren is called "a mage of a peaceful era" and Serie is called "a warmonger". The way I understand this is Serie could defeat the demon king, but she will lose the battle for a peaceful era because her ideology and mindset is unsuited for such a future.

But the party of heroes wished to defeat the demon king - believed - visualized - that they could and so they did. Serie couldnt even believe that frieren was able to defeat the demon king, because she doesnt strike her as a person with that strong will. Frieren's party is full of monsters and they were strong believers

To the people have grown to hate on Fern clearly are not used to the male cast of an anime not being a sigma. I mean she is mean to him from time to time but like she clearly doesn't mean it, like Fern either says certain things to mess with Stark or she's just dirty minded. Fern clearly does care for him when it counts like in the most recent episode you can spot her background once they enter the cabin covering Stark with a blanket to keep him warm. And don't forget her trying to bond with on his birthday, and the little pep talks Fern gives him when Stark is feeling discouraged and unsureof himself. I understand that witnessing fictional male characters getting messed with can tick the male audience off but like then again yell should quit it.
