I think the slow and fast taper bit is the wrong way round. Fast taper is bendy in the tip, slow taper curves the whole length. Also adding to the whole rod confusion is manufactures swapping between units, e.g rod length in feet, rod weight in pounds and the lure casting weight in grams etc.

I agree there should be a consistent way of describing the rod within the labels. It certainly doesn’t make it easy unless doing it everyday. Thankfully we have Jason and Rodney to help us.

well said mate people have no idea of light mid and heavy rods or put a 10500 on light rod who think they can bring in a shark lol just nuts great guides you discuss here for the laymend people out there

Doesn't 702 mean a 7 foot, two-piece rod. Like a 661 is a 6 foot 6, one piece rod??

My rod is MH. 12-25lb. Lure weight 7g-35g im using 4000s reel and 19lb braided line with 30lb leader. Im hunter mangrove snapper in river pls teach me to catch more snapper im using live bait
