@@CRT_YT not me, I have such a big brain that never happened in my first run, I didn't even watch a tips video, all that happened was: I ran out of iron and accidentally rotated a copper belt to feed into the iron chests, emptied my armor slot items onto the floor, only had 5 tier 2 crafters making circits and started with the blue circuit creation, died to my train and lost all my items, got too much pollution but had extremely thick walls so I couldn't see the army building up that I wasn't prepared for, etc

You started at 9:00am, It's 4:30am, your brain is numb and the pain is slowly eating away your ability to think straight, set up a basic line or even click on the "X". Time to rest my brain for 5 hours because my neurons are still firing off as I sleep. I awake dazed and confused but that's ok, I'll be grounded once I jump back into my factory. I'll be ok for 14-20 more hours. There is an idea of a factory worker, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real worker, only an entity, something illusory. Although I can hide my cold tools, and you can shake my head and feel a vice gripping yours, and even sense our logic gates are probably comparable, I simply am not efficient enough.

for me, the worst is making a Mathematical error when designing anything, I designed a 2x(2x4) reactor set up and accidentally worked the math to get me half the turbines and heat exchangers I needed, so I had to rebuild the whole thing and whilst I was doing that the biters were helping themselves to nibble on my base that had no defense because of power loss

The first time I built nuclear, I didn’t know it took forever to get to temp, and didn’t have enough power at it came online. It was my first map too, where I had been obliterating biters manually more than even building, so evolution factor was like .93 or something, so it got....dicey. Don’t constantly attack biters kids unless you like gargantuan spitters

@@EricLS Actually i think it's good to remove nests. If you keep removing nests away from the pollution then they wouldn't evolve as much. I've already sent 30 rockets in my world and the biters aren't even fully evolved yet. Equipping every miner with efficiency modules and going solar asap is a good method of removing the polution. This way you won't have to remove the nests so much.

When you deconstruct something, and your bots fill up your inventory, but you now have a deconstruction planner in your hand that you can't put away. So now you can't even build a chest to put stuff in, and every time you drop something, the bot immediately put more trash into the space you cleared.

You have to find the hand icon in your inventory and place the item there so it wont be in your hand anymore. Then you can choose the chest or just put the items in the logistics trash slots

It is the easiest way to build a base, but when it gets bigger you are starting to have problems like waiting minutes for items to arrive, but factorio is a game where only perfect base is this one built by yourself and this is beautiful :)

@@Trupen lol, that happened a Long time ago. I don’t wait for items anymore, irks pointless. The base does it’s own thing with tens of thousands of robots, and I build resource outposts which I can visit to restock at, drop off trash in, etc. Mostly all I need while expanding are landfill tiles, solar panels, roboports, electrical wires, mining equipment, and all the materials for the exterior wall, aaaand a place to put wood/fish, but honestly the base handles most of the work surprisingly well! The main production area is relatively small, so going there ensures a near instant restocking on any resource you request. I tried redesigning the base with designated resource areas, supplies via train, cutting the base into smaller robohub areas, but it just make the whole thing so much harder to manage.
