Mate this was an epic trip nice local run but we had one of the best days out and didn’t have to travel far!! Love using the lesser traveled Trails!! Proper camel trophy vibes on this one don’t you agree??😎👍👍

That silver D2 is indeed a beast. She's been a reliable old bus, she belonged to my late father, we had it from virtually new, it had 270 miles on it when he bought it, was an ex demonstrator car for test drives. She still has yet to tick over to 90,000 miles.

Series sounds well, what engine is it running?

That series is a wild in sheep’s clothing!! It originally was a V8 and was bright orange! Niw it’s running disco 1 axels,300tdi engine and goes like the clappers once that turbo is spooled up!! It’s an awesome Landy took him 2years to restore it and get it to how it is now!

@mikeb53 auto’s definitely have better control it did that amazing and the drop Off into the stream was pretty good too! Can’t believe there’s tarmac under 3ft of silt there! Might be very interesting going the other way out though?? haha!!

How meny diffs and axles dus the guy with the red D2 brake also dus it have CDL ?? Looks like he only relays on traction control

I had a look at the red D2 after the trip it was fine apart from the bumper. The red D2 does have the CDL internals, but doesn't have the linkage to turn it on and off, so it was only using traction control this trip unfortunately.

@@mikeb53 ok cool he drives it pretty hard and were I barely dear to even slip a tire as U don't Wana blow a diff or axle thow I am running 33s You should be able to engage the CDL on the gearbox with a 10mm spanner I believe but then who wants to lay on the wet ground to engage and disangae it

Yeah we can’t do that unfortunately so we have to find these small tracks and they are no longer than a mile or half mile long but there is a few longer ones out there.. You’re pretty lucky on the freedom you have over there were very limited to where we can go…😎👍

Sorry Tim but there was no damage done apart from front bumper falling off the disco all pieces were picked up no damage done to any trail If you can Let me know where you saw the damage I’ll take a look.
