Toyota Hilux mk6 | Stock Vehicle Gets Muddy!

Project overlander just an update on the hilux I try it out off-road completely stock road vehicle after 7 months owning it repairing the chassis and other jobs it finally gets muddy!

I didn't realise these suffered anything like that badly with corrosion. In my head, a 2010 model wasn't an "old" vehicle...it's scary to think that's 14-years-old now!

These Toyotas with the factory rear lockers are so capable on the lanes. My 05 land cruiser surprises me every time. Unfortunately they do suffer from the corrosion 😂. Looking forward to your build

With a decent set of mud tyres and the rear locker should prove very good just needs a lift and underbody protection 😎👍

Yes there’s lots of options on the aftermarket parts for the hilux that was another reason to go for it,just a shame the previous owner hid alot of problems and I didn’t spot them until I found them few weeks of owning the vehicle.. It will be a long on going project but a good one at that! 👍

Thanks buddy it is a good truck and look forward to putting my own stamp on it as they say and making it unique to me! Being al white it’s definitely a blank canvas could to with some vinyl graphics maybe?? Definitely needs suspension lift and good mud tyres! And the underbody protection! 👍👍

ive got one on order that will fold 1mm its a folder and sheers to go along with the mig tig and mma ( stick welders i have along with a 50 ton deep throat press and 30 years throwing spanners

oops ent half as message there .. on the lookout for a derelict farm house with a big barn Ill use the barn as a workshop I have a plan for a new house which is why Im looking for a derelict/ or semi derelict fFARM somewhere east or very slightly west of carmarthen on top of the off roading side I have quite the flock of sheep I need to relocate . heavily into my field sports tooI have a significant interest in a company called the verminators( we exterminate rats feral pidgeons and the like

Cheers buddy! I’ve had Nissan Navara D22,Mitsubishi L200 B40 but the hilux drives and handles so much better chassis is all done so that’s one less step next is to tackle that sump garages don’t want to know or help!! Toyota want £1290 to change the sump!! Haha

@@ALL_4_WHEELS ummmm nah think we'll give that a miss £1290 I was having flash backs to the cat on my patrol pmsl , funnily I had l200 it was a hercules edition had all the toys , fully loaded I think is how they put it , great fun , proper spicy when things broke though ha ha ha but arnt all 4x4s ? But lucky for us we had the forsight to buy japanese which generally tend not to break , well not as easy as land rover anyways 🤣🤣🤣

Haha! This one is a bit of a leaky lux! Just had the space cylinder replaced and the chassis. Cut out and fresh metal that was a big job on the rear end.. then the sump next I’ve tried over 15 garages no one really wants to take the job on as sump difficult to remove possible engine lifted pulled forward or remove all axel steering etc 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
