I reverse engineered Laura Belgray's copy. User Write a sentence about going to the store and buying something. ChatGPT 4 Sauntering down the glaringly lit grocery aisle with the swagger of a rock star, I nabbed the last bag of overpriced, gluten-free pretzels off the shelf, chuckling to myself - because, hey, who wouldn't shell out an extra few bucks for the privilege of crunching on something vaguely resembling cardboard? This is such a great technique. So many uses.

When re-creating your props, I've noticed some key points that will make a massive difference in the outputs. The first is watch where you put your commas. I miss placed, will completely change the output. Second, I noticed, when I do not capitalize TONE and WRITING STYLE it will not be included in the reverse prompt.

I managed to do this once for making summaries, since I realized that if you just ask ChatGPT to summarize a body of text, it sometimes varies the formatting between paragraph and bullets. I managed to ask it to re-organize and re-word it enough times till it was formatted the way I wanted (Headers, bullets, keeping examples of the body of text), then asked it "How can I prompt you to get me these results again with another body of text"

This is really clever. I was trying to get it to write scifi & it kept writing this really cheesy, high school essay style and I couldn't think of enough creative writing 101 jargon to tell it to knock off with the cliches and do whatever the opposite of cheesy, cliched writing is.

Great idea. I'm now using this, but continually feeding back the output of the reverse prompt to generate the next one. Not many iterations yet, but I wonder if it will converge on something, or completely degenerate. (Using a new sessions each time, so it cannot "cheat")

Question: do you keep a chatGPT window open that contains previous “training” (ie: for product descriptions), so it’s faster to get what you need in subsequent uses? Or do you prime and train it each time before you use it?

This is a great vid, thanks! I have a video request: One thing that I was super bummed about recently was chatGPTs handling of quotes, specifically how it handles citing the quotes. In short, the quote references are usually not cited correctly making it extremely difficult to verify the quote (Help!), wondering what the way around this is!!!??? Help! Secondly chatGPT seems decent at summarizing a whole book, but if you say summarize the [2] chapter from [so and so book] and then try to do that for all chapters and compare to the book, eventually chatGPT gets REALLY confused and I wonder if even when it numbers the chapter correctly if it is summarizing the correct content (help!), so if you could tackle both of these issues that would be huge for educational and research applications. Thanks!

You should mention things in your video, like why you are editing the prompt and resubmitting instead of continuing to add prompts as most people would do. Of course they won't get the same result because after a couple prompts, the original context (or "priming" as you call it) will be lost. I understand that but most people would not even realize it. Anyway, the idea is kind of interesting if not just to get a better feel for how to form prompts. The reverse engineering aspect of it would be more interesting if the model was deterministic.

I can’t see what’s so extraordinary about what this guy does. The extraordinary thing is chatGPT itself. I regard all those people making yt videos on chatGPT “prompts” as mostly below average intelligence. I guess their pretentious interaction with an AI makes them think they are special somehow. After all they are talking with an “Intelligence”. Also, based on their constrained way of interacting with the AI, it’s pretty obvious they are all monolinguals, obviously lacking all forms of linguistic mind expansions, and unable to really push chatgpt to what it really is capable of
