To compliment my 3k inverter in our rv, with 4 300ah 12v , I've been using a titan solar system in place of a gas generator, with 30 amp plug on the titan plugging in to the rv and 2k of solar panels, it would be all you would need for Long term boondocking

Jared, I want to cut a hole in the bottom of the park side rear storage compartment so I can put the trailers power cord through that hole (similar to yours) to plug into Ecoflow DP. My problem is I don't know what to call the piece that I need to install in the hole. I would think the identical one to the factory exterior one with the snap shut flapper would work well. Any assistance is appreciated Thanks

Earthtechproducts has the same EcoFlow for $1000 less. I asked if they are refurbished and how they can offer such a discount, They responded quickly, they DO NOT sell refurbished or used products, only closed box new. And as for how they can offer such a discount they replied they are the top retailer for EcoFlow and as such they get deep discounts. They also have nice bundles with 400W solar, remote, storage case and EV vehicle charging station adapter, all for less than the Delta Pro alone

Hey Jared I got my first Delta pro through Kickstarter and have been using it since December 2021 primarily like 80% at my off grid jayco in an old tobacco field. I have 860 watts of panels and it runs everything like we have a power pole most of the time. When there are days in a row with limited sun we conserve power and do quite well. We have a honda 2200 generator we use to top it off on rare occasions. I bought a second unit to tie together with the 1st unit with a double voltage hub will power my brick and mortar home in a power outage. Overall I have over a years worth of heavy usage and couldn't be happier with the product and company.

I have the complete Delta Pro system and it is a monster! With the system I can power the entire house. With solar panels I can keep it going indefinitely especially if we are a little bit conservative not to use ridiculous amounts of power on cloudy days. There is nothing that I have asked it to do that it couldn't handle easily. I am running two Delta pros and four extra batteries. So far we have been able to cut our dependence on the electric company which is one of the goals. The other is to be able to operate autonomously in a power outage which will be no problem. Great video! Really enjoyed it! As to the non-portability of your victron system, your RV is portable and when you have it parked next to your house you can use that system to back up your house in the event of an outage. Don't know if you've thought of doing that. Our last system was a lead acid system using BZ solar controllers and and Xantrex inverters. The two inverters made it capable of 3600-watt also as each inverter was 1800 watt pure sine wave. The lithium iron phosphate batteries in the Delta Pros leave the lead acid system in the dust! I love to see people's set ups to learn new ideas! Thanks again!

Excellent presentation! I have a Delta Max with two Extra Batteries ‘installed’ in my Airstream with an automatic transfer switch. 600 W rooftop solar. It’s only 20 amp, but that can run one aircon or the microwave, convection oven…. AND, I ‘ installed’ a duplicate system under my truck cap, with 320 W captop solar. Both systems can be easily redeployed for home emergency backup. We dry camp extensively, and I’m very satisfied. I did this before the Delta Pro came out, and the smaller size and weight of the Max actually fit my Airstream (and my back) much better.

My wife and I went ahead and bought one and placed it in our TT (under the bed) and now have solar on the roof and a 30amp cable plugged into the unit and tied up under the trailer, as an umbilical cord, ready to plug into our RV whenever we boondock! What a great solution! Our first trip will be in June and will be sprinkled with Harvest Host stays so looking forward to seeing how it performs. I figure, this way whenever we upgrade to a new trailer, we simply unplug and take it with us. Thanks Jared!

A fellow FCP X user I see, nice! Bluetti's AC300/B300 is another great "plug and play" option for this application too, for roughly the same price. It can expand up to 12,288Wh (with 4 B300 batteries) and it has 2 MPPT controllers for 2400w of solar input (150V per MPPT) and each battery can be dual charged via the DC Charging Enhancer up to 500W which has the potential of 2400W + 500W + 500W + 500W +500W if configured with the max battery capacity (it's really designed for a home application though). Solid video with great info.

I have the smaller river 2 pro inside the motorhome for powering our laptops at night after quiet hours start for non-generator use, and its powerful enough to run a percolator for coffee in the morn. Works great and the faceplate showing exactly how much juice it is providing to different things when you plug them in is oddly quite satisfying, compared to the old style batteries where there is never any info unless you put a tester on it.

Thanks for the great description of the EcoFlow. We have just started working with ours on our RV and have found it to be an excellent power source and it charges up very rapidly. I hooked it up to our 290 Watt solar panel and it charged up from 50% to full in about 3 hours. At home on the grid, I can charge this unit up from 50% or less to 100% in less than 2 hours. It's a heavy beast to move around but well worth it; basically it serves as shore power but portable. You can buy a cover for it and it might be water proof but I wouldn't take the chance. I am hoping that this device will be a game changer for portable power sources and look forward to using it more.

The moment you plug your shore power into the EcoFlow your Victron systems is going to start to power the RV and charger your 3 batteries. We don't have the soft start on our AC so the 2000 watt inverter on the Bluetti will run the AC but it's right up against the max amperage. I think these units are perfect for RVs. We also have a small Bluetti that we use to run our outdoor kitchen fridge while in transit since we don't have an inverter in our RV. Our 12v frigmdge isn't really available with the slide closed so we keep a few waters and sandwich meat in the outdoor fridge. Ain't technology great?

Great content video, thank you. I have an Ecoflow Delta Max 2,000. This unit does not have a 30amp inlet. If i use a 30 amp female to 110 male adapter and plug my trailer into it, will the Delta Max power the trailer? What is the purpose of plugging in a ground neutral bond plug when using the Ecoflow Delta Pro generator? I should do the same for the Delta Max. Oh yeah, I also have two - 2000 watt extra batteries that connect to the Delta Max. The three combined have 6000 watt hours. Any issue with this setup powering the trailer? I appreciate your helping me with these questions.

I always appreciate these updates on solar generators as im totally off grid. But I'm a bit confused on selecting the correct solar panels watts/volts and not destroying these units. Here in the tropics it's standard every day cloudy skies. If this unit only accepts 1600 watts, it would require over panelling to achieve continuous load which this EF model doesn't allow? I'm learning and appreciate these videos.

We also have Grand Design model 303RLS and travel a lot in Texas. When we arrive at our destination it can be over 100 degrees in the RV . We were thinking about getting something like this with the spare battery and run both a/c s the last couple of hours of our trip to cool down the inside for setup. Do you think this unit would run a 13500 and 15000 btu air conditions with easy starts for a few hours? Or would we have to settle for running one unit at a time? Your help is apricated, thanks.

Hello. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind heling me on a scenario with the installation of this Delta Pro. I have a 50 AMP RV with 2-200AH Lithium batteries with 3-180W panels through a 40Amp controller. How do I hook these up to receive solar charging?

Is there a way to do 240 volts with two? Trying to do home air conditioning.

Surge protection? My small motorhome has a built in SurgeGuard which trips when using a solar generator (2400w inverter) and the AC compressor comes on. (13kBTU with soft start). Everything thing else including microwave works fine. Have you come across this surge protection device issue, including when is a grounding plug needed?

Thanks for the video! Can anyone tell me if the soft-start is necessary with this battery and a late model 15,000 BTU AC?

Hi, great video. I did something similar to this. I charge it with 660 solar watts. I’m considering repairing my coach lead acid batteries with two 100 amp hour lithium ion batteries I’d want to charged it with an upgraded inverter/converter and my solar array. Any suggestions? Thanks for all your very helpful RV camp videos.

What about charging this device with the existing pannels on the roof? Can i create a switch coming from the solar pannels to feed either this device or the solar system already installed in the Trailer? Thanks

Great info, question in reference to Ground/Neutral bonding. In this application I see you used a "bonding" plug, and I believe that the ecoflow has passthrough when plugged into shore power, so in that instance a plug would not be needed, because you are getting your bond at the RV parks panel. Is that correct? How does something like a sungold 3K Inverter charger or your multi plus handle that, does it have a switching neutral built in on it's "internal transfer switch". So when it runs from battery, or disconnected from shore power the inverter has the bond, and when actually switched to shore power, the bond is taken care of in the "park panel" when it's in passthrough and charging mode to avoid having two bonded locations? Thanks to you or any other viewers for feedback.

Yes in a pass through setup it should have its bond from shore power and you shouldn’t use the bonding plug. Also Yes the Victron has an internal switch for the bonding when disconnected from shore power. I can’t remember off hand if SunGold did or not but I don’t believe it did but I would have to check.

@@AllAboutRVs Thanks, guess I shoulda researched on my own a little more, getting lazy in my old age, but according to the Instruction manual for the sungold 3000W 12V inverter. "All single-phase 120Vac inverters are equipped with an automatic neutral-to-ground switch". So when running in inverter mode, it's boded at the inverter, and when running on AC input, it's bonded at the panel.

Any idea on how long it take to charge with only 110 plug home outlet?

Can I connect multiple portable solar panels to it? I was looking at buying 2 400w panels.

I would love to see how this compares to the new Jackery 3000 Pro

It would be fun to do a side by side comparison. At first look it is less capacity less output but it also weighs less.

Wouldnt you need to bypass your RVs inverter when using the Ecoflow? How are you byoassing your rv installed batteries to use the ecoflow?
@AllAboutRVs Жыл бұрын
You would bypass the converter if you had an inverter that was feeding off your battery bank or if you used the 12v out of this to your 12v RV system. I didn’t want to try and make the 12v from this charge my 12v system on the RV. It has limited 12v output but I’m not sure how well it would do at battery charging. This Delta Pro just had the RV plugged into it and let the converter on the RV charge the RVs 12v battery instead.

Great video Jared. I have a Goal Zero Yeti 3000x solar generator with 3200wh and a 2000w inverter. It doesn’t have a 30amp plug just 120 plugs. I just want to use my outlets in the rv. Is it necessary to disconnect the converter when I do this?

So how long will just the 3600 watt unit run the AC? Can you use the main unit for a base inverter/battery combo then pair it with A lithium battery(s) to save money?
