One cool thing i like about him is 25% of physical lifesteal is converted into magic & true dmg. With enough lifesteal u can heal from blazing cape burn, execute true dmg and any magic/true dmg. With 41% lifesteal from bloodweeper + weaver arcana the sustain is super crazy. Sometimes i go frenzy spell but most of the time just flash/sprint. Not to mention you can play more aggressively since u have crazy sustain. Only downside is u lose 10% movespd from arcana which is very big

The bloodweeper heal passive is also a + but need to play more safely against heavy ganks like nakoruru or musashi

@@jsb5479 What's the build order ? Blazing Cape is obviously the mandatory 1st item, but did you immedieately rush Bloodweaper as 2nd item or just the 2nd tier lifesteal item ? I feel like skipping Sparkforged Dagger (the yellow electric blade) would sacrifice Allain's dmg a bit too much in the mid game, same goes for the mov spd considering you also used the lifesteal arcana instead of the mov spd ones

@@youagain8447 armor boots, blazing cape then depends if enemy is heavy burst then i go w/ bloodweep tier item (forgot name) then straight cuirass or if not burst or u're confident in dueling better just buy the guantlet (teir for cuirass) and go straight bloodweeper. Rest of the items are just usual items for allain depend on game. U really want the cuirass every game bc u lose a ton of movespd from reaver arcana

@@jsb5479 Thanks, i'll give it a try. This build might matches with my gameply better than his standard build since i really, REALLY struggle with Allain's sustain after a fight in mid-late game. Maybe i'm just too used to Ata or Biron that could regen all their HP back after a teamfight and be ready for the next fight without recalling back to base

Always has mixed experience with Allain. On paper he is very good, like he has heal, sustain, atk speed, untargetable escape / engage, immune cc, dash, verstaile item build. On practice, often his heal does not procs on time, his damage is on the 'almost enough' side, sometimes you are a tanky fighter, sometimes your stack and heal does not procs on time require you to early recall. Still trying to figure out his preferred playstyle (due to how flexible his item and arcana build).

@@ValentinoNicko If i may share a tip on triggering his heal more consistently, try to hit his Skill 2's dash on your target whenever you engage, even better if you hit minions along the way. Generally, the usual combo of 2 - 3 basic atk - 1 is able to proc his heal as long as you hit that Skill 2 at the start

Allain is very strong but his play pattern is quite different from other clash laners so he takes some time to get used to. In short, he is very strong in short (3 stack S1) and extended trades (full passive stack). You want to S2 and go for a 3 stack S1 then back off (if you don't want to commit to a fight) or go for a long fight (max passive stacks) because the heal and damage reduction + pen from max passive stacks make extended duels very favorable for him. But any decent clash lane main knows they won't beat Allain in an extended fight, so you have to learn to bait them into fighting you. Also, there are 2 people you should always avoid dueling alone in the early game as Allain, which is Arthur and Dun. You just don't win any trades against them early on unless they are really bad. Biron is kind of a counter too, but its one you can play around and beat.

@@AM063094 He's also countered by mid-long ranged Clash Laners that could farm the minions safely like Heino and Domination (gold) Li Xin. That's because i noticed that in slower games where barely any fights happened and everyone just farms nonstop, picking him feels really bad. In case of both Heino and Li Xin, Allain can't really reach them unless he used ult, which even then isn't guaranteeing a kill for him. On the other hand, he'll get peppered by their spells during the laning stage, chipping his HP bit-by-bit without him being able to proc his heal. If that continued, he'll be under-farmed and basically become easy pickings during the later parts of the game because he won't be tanky enough nor deal enough dmg

@@youagain8447 Yea, they are tough match ups for Allain. Against Heino, I just focus on dodging / staying healthy and last hitting (or staying in xp/gold range if cant last hit). Don't position yourself in the wave, so Heino has to choose between trying to S1 you or the minions and focus on dodging it. Whenever he miss you with the S1, then you have a few seconds to walk up and hit the wave. You will be pushed in against him which will allow the Heino to roam a lot. Fortunately, Heino roams are not strong since he has no cc so just ping missing if he leaves lane and hope your team don't die to his roam. Dueling Heino is a lost cause since he just out sustains you with his melee form. If the opportunity arises, you can impact / roam the map else where or take enemy jungle. Ranged Li Xin is even more difficult since he can constantly harass you. But he will also be pushed in to you, so ping or hope your jungle notices this and gank him a lot.

I main Allain and currently in GM 27*. I used to build him with Sparkforged Dagger but opt to full tank item since there's usually a squishy Roam getting picked most of the time and I'm the only one who's need to tank team fights unless the Jungler also built tank items. I can see the difference in lane clearing but for solo queue, i might use tankier items just to play it safe. Nice vid btw.

His early game is a lot better than i thought for a supposed late-game hero. Thanks to the heal proc from his passive, i always tried to be as aggresive as possible during early levels by engaging my lane opponent first. By doing that, i often managed to fill up his Fury quickly and proc the heal, basically winning the dmg trade. In some cases, it also made my opponent play too passively because they were suprised with my dmg even if their heroes were supposed to beat me in early game like Biron or Heino

Do you have problems with the attack priority system? Because for me for some reason it's prioritizing creeps more than heroes and it's a nuisance when I'm trying to clash and the hero lock system doesn't even work properly like it just cancels the lock immediately

Idk, I'm more used to ML's priority system that normal basic attack button prioritizes heroes to give purpose to the minion and tower button so I've been cycling over the 3 targeting systems in HOK and somehow all of them still have times that the basic attack button target creeps instead of heroes during clashes.

To be fair, Dun vs Allain laning matchup depends on who get to jump the other one first during that early levels, so the matchup is pretty shaky and doesn't really favor either of them. Allain might have a slight advantage with his heal not being tied to his current HP, but Dun's heal a lot more when it's triggered and he also has Skill 2's shields to help block some of Allain's dmg if the user doesn't use it randomly to clear waves. Also, what's your set for Allain ? He's pretty flexible in theory, but i've only met him being used with the standard set in this vid. It'll be interesting if there are other sets that made his gameplay a bit different

I have 359 games with allain and i think u dont know how to face dun. U clearly are just using the pro builds against dun u should have always the ítem that makes damage x the 8% hp of the enemy. Lol
