All the incomes will be invested in the organisation of a New festival and Guitar contest (first edition in London UK in April 2022). The success on organising the First edition will depend on your generosity and we hope to make it a yearly event which can finance itself and keep promoting Allan's music and legacy.

I still can't believe he's gone. I discovered Allan when I was about 18 shortly after I started playing guitar. I went down to the local record store and ordered IOU before it was even out. I had to wait several weeks for it. None of my friends could identify with it. They were all listening to Devo and that kind of stuff. I'd talk about how Allan was clearly the brightest star in the firmament and they'd look at me like I had antlers growing out of my forehead. A few of my other guitar playing buddies got it. But most everyone else thought we were crazy.

He was so ahead of his time that people will recognise his greatness in probably another 50 years…So deeply missed, every day.❤️

@@italianguitar Another thing that so impressed me about Allan was how mathematical his approach was. I went into the physical sciences and consequently had to learn quite a bit of mathematics. When I saw(a video) Allan discuss how he permutated through 5-9 note scales throwing away those that had 4 semitones in a row it was then I understood that he "developed in isolation". He didn't start the way most of us do. You learn the major scale and how the modes are related to the major scale. He worked out his own scales and kept what he found appealing and the history of music theory be damned! LOL! Pretty ballsy if you ask me. And of course looking to Coltrane as an inspiration certainly didn't hurt.

They only thing I know is that I’m having a great fun playing with fantastic musicians, especially on my latest solo album Defragmentism Project with the line up Steve Hunt, Morgan Ågren, Mattias IA Eklundh and Kai Ritchiesse, and being a guest on Steve Hunt’s latest "monumental" album with all these iconic musicians. ... I think my next album, the grand-guitar solo concert (in nine movements) namned Gautigoths, will .... surprise you. You have never: i) heard me play like that before, nor ii) written that music before, nor iii) heard that sound before. Gautigoths is, i m o, the best music I’ve yet written ... and probably will. C ya =)
