Style is constantly evolving and changing. I find it so satisfying to go through my closet and take out pieces that are just not right… we should all focus more on what fits and makes us feel good as opposed to what’s “in style” at the moment. Not all styles work for everyone.

A nice tip which I’ll be trying going into the next year is to flip your hangers in the opposite direction in January and then check in at the end to see which remain in the opposite direction and declutter those items. 💗🙃

I’ve seen white leather straps for sandals sold on eBay. Try that for a temporary solution until you can find a cobbler that can make it for you. That tennis outfit was super cute. You look so athletic and toned! I need to do another closet clear out as well since I haven’t worked in an office in years. I used to wear very tailored clothing since I’m petite and curvy and oversized items drown me. But now I live in comfy oversized pieces and don’t really care if I’m swimming in the clothes lol!😂

I bet you could find someone on Etsy that does leatherwork. I think they could easily just make a leather strap with a clasp, otherwise if you can find and cut a piece of white leather they definitely sell the clasps/buckles on amazon, or you could thrift it from something similar.

Girl order a new pair of shoes and keep the strap and send it back saying it never came with it. They wont know nor do they care. These luxury retailers never offer support or assistance once the transaction is done. They get your money and don't care for repairs or customer service afterwards. They want to force u to buy the shoe again essentially.

glad to see you decluttered the Copenhagen sweater - I suggest rethinking the Filippa K one too, whenever I say "I like it but...." that means it is time to go!!! Every time you think about wearing it you will be like ooo it is itchy though or ugh but it sheds when you have other lovely knits you love!!! As I have made my way through my 30s I have realized this is a vital shift in the way I think about what I keep and what I save.

I would find an Etsy leather craftsman. Someone who does custom work. Problem solved. Or you could send it too the Handbag Clinic. In England. I’m a brit who lives in LA. My father was Canadian. I know there’s a similar place in the US. Sadly I don’t know where. I would try Etsy first. You won’t be wearing them until the spring/summer. So if you start finding someone now. You should have a replacement strap sooner than you think.

The Quick Cobbler in Vancouver has done custom work for me in the past. Maybe they can custom make a strap for you. If the leather doesn’t match, you can get leather paint to match (Angelus Paints) from Lonsdale Leather.

agree! trying clothes/shoes is important in knowing what you want to do with them! don't feel bad when you feel like you want to keep it after you have tried it on..wear it that same week and just be conscious of what you feel when wearing it. if you don't feel it / don't feel like it makes you feel good, toss it! btw, the burberry top is actually nice but it's just too big on you imo

I do not spend money on trendy pieces. Buy them cheap wear them to death and if you are still loving it then invest in a new better quality one. Also I don’t “get rid” of declutters. I pack them away till the next declutter and go through them again and see if I have regrets or misses. Saves me from getting rid of something just to miss it and buy again or lose/gain weight and need a size back.

Maybe its because Im at the same age as you and many other influencers I watch. But it seems like everyone is in a phase of finalizing their style. 😄 I sold a lot of clothes last month and it feels so good to have less. For me an absolute no go for knit is if its itchy. So I would get rid of itchy knit pieces you will not wear them often and pieces that are not 1000% yes, then its a no😊

For the strap, you could literally just buy a cheap pair of white strappy sandals at the thrift store or any second hand store/app and use the strap of the cheap sandals!
