Making vertical slices of the game - is exactly how concepts are Proven in a smart way. You don't make an entire game only to discover where it sucks. You make your concept - and then make a SAMPLE of it, to understand how to get to your target and if it's going to work.

I think Narc is protesting too much about how he could've had access to the developers if he wanted to but chose not to. I really seems like he built his channel on Ashes' fantasies and now that people have access to the reality he doesn't know what to make videos on but when he went digging to see if he could get some inside scopes he was shut down, and now he's butt hurt about it and going the drama video route. Seriously that's the vibe this video has, because if he truly didn't care he would've just stopped making videos on it. Instead he felt the need to make a video on Ashes to say he's not making videos on Ashes... (biggest eyeroll in the world).

About the reddit locking/banning, apparently it all revolved around some subathon Narc did, and some Narc fans going wild on reddit during it. Some people did get banned for spamming rude/insulting things on reddit during that subathon. Seemed more like people trolling the ashes team, so deserved.

Narc is just emotional. I am on ptr since beginning. Riverlands looked soo empty nothing was in just ground and a few trees. After they testet nodes stability etc they added more and more. Every 3 days the ptr and live version looked better with ambiente. All the assets they have shown are in the game go to the deserr you will see. Wait or step away from zhe game not much time needed and they will expand desert like they did with riverlands

How many people are going to realize that the desert that he showed was in phase 1 on the very edge of the map. The majority of the desert right now doesn't even look like that. It looks more like what they showcased granted there are some things missing but for a start I think it's fine. The desert obviously needs some serious TLC but s******* on a game that's in development is kind of like buying all the accessories for your car without having a car.

Im glad that they brought it out of NDA. Being able to see so much of the development process is awesome. People are stupid though and dont know anything about game development and therefore we have shit takes like throwing the word scam around.

Sorry but no. WoW Classic took 5 years, with a team of 26 people. The development is too slow, period. None of you are experts iin game dev either: you make a game you make a game, it takes 5-8 years max, period. If it takes more it's either a scam, or there's huge internal issues.

@kokorochin01 Oh yes the scam that has made 0 profit and has cost Steven a substantial amount of his own personal money. I don't think they know how to scam correctly. What with the cost of 200+ developers salary per year, overhead for physical location in the most expensive part of the country, and server fees seeing is they do not have in house servers. The money they have raised definitely went straight into Steven's pockets.

I think that the level of complexity that they are going for and the amount of new systems that they are building from the ground up will inevitably make the development time much longer. I also think that it is fair to have concerns about the timeline and how long it has taken to get to where it is now. I however do not think that it's in any way productive to start throwing slanderous words around like scam. In my opinion the content creators that are doing this are farming for views and are just looking to pad their own pockets at the expense of intrepids name.

Well i think Steven communicate too much for an Alpha and sometime people start thinking its a Beta or even a release.. From previous alpha i have been in , communication was just bug reporting after a new version. We were aware of what was implemented in the new version not what was coming in the next one or even in the futur. For me Narc is just bored of Ashes, cause there is not enought "new things" to make content :) And great job by the way :)

The game has indeed development problems, steven being a the most negative part cause these drama come from him when he open his mouth, he promises and states stuff are in the game and when presented is nowhere to be found, cause majority of the system are halfway done for sure they dont finish a damn thing and that is very worry cause means the rest will be rushed, the game needs a solid foundation and lead dev that know how to hold himself, this is why i dont support games that dont have a foundation and that ask too much to test something that barely exists.
