Anyone thinking about buying these shoes should get them! I’m a caddie, my job is literally walking and carrying heavy golf bags over 1,000 miles a year and these shoes are the best! I’ve worn Hokas, New Balance, Adidas etc.. and Allbirds are the most comfortable/ durable of any shoes I’ve had 👟👟

Probably the best, most thorough shoe review I've ever seen. Thanks so much! I love the Wool Runner-up Mizzles and have been debating getting these for use as a casual and walking shoe; thanks for the help in the decision!

Excellent and thorough review gents. Nice to have reviewers where the review is about the product and not a showcase for the personalities.

It's a nice idea. My current thinking is that a pair of minimal or barefoot style shoes that last several years would be more environmentally friendly than cushioned shoes that tend to wear more quickly. I'm no expert though, just trying things out. 👍🏻🏃♂️

Can't speak for the uppers on these but from past Allbirds that use the same midsole foam, these look - and feel - built to last.

I agree most people get rid of shoes pretty quickly. One thing that would be good to do would be to make a shoe that's built to last like you're saying, but most people don't want to keep wearing shoes. If you were to wear them for years after they get muddy and dirty they're going to look horrible. Maybe a shoe that's constructed all in one piece that you can throw in the washing machine? I know a lot of shoes advertised that you can do that but you know..

Just bought a pair of the mizzle version. I'm no runner and really don't "hike" a lot - I live in Texas. But travel quite a bit to more nature-oriented destinations that may involve short-medium hikes to a viewpoint, or to a waterfall, etc. No running. Thinking this will be a great crossover shoe as an all-terrain walker that can stay stylish for walking around town as well. Thoughts?

Just got mine today they look sweet, gonna use them for hiking light and some running in them too I was using some Columbia hiking boots they’re heavy so let’s see how these play out

Hi John, a casual hiking/running crossover is where we'd place these too. Might be good for days where you might go a few miles walking then a few running etc.

You think they’d be good in the winter? Wet and slippery conditions outside? I love Allbirds but don’t like that none of them have good traction when outside in the winter.

Hi Devin, we're kind of just waiting for winter to arrive here in London. Climate change means we're having some very mild weather still. But the minute it sheets it down, we'll be out to test this.

I think runner is what they say kinda like we say sneaker. It’s not necessarily for running, like sneakers ain’t necessarily for sneaking around.

Would these AB be good for a travel walker

No idea. Not really golfers to be honest.

Most likely. Looks like they have good traction and somewhat water resistant.

As an actual mountain runner in Colorado, I would die in this shoe. I've gone scree skating in lower lug Asics and Nikes (trail), this thing is asking to knock your teeth out on a real downslope. Also, park trails are not (at all) the kind of...trails (ie, alpine ridges) we get up to out here, often in microspikes. I wouldn't be embarrassed for this company if they marketed as a vacation walker. They're trying to dip their brand into trail running lingo without having any clue what kind of demands the sport requires.

The shoes look like the life style shoes. Would not care for eco friendly if the shoes don’t perform.
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
That is a crucial aspect in all this. To be effective in the goal of shifting people off petrochemical-based shoes, they have to perform. These are not there yet.
