The nucleus of the team will be Canterbury players. What will be of interest is how many "Foster's" team players will be retained and the number of new players that Scott selects. Given Scott has the all the NZ rep sides to choose from I'm guessing quite a few new faces especially younger players.

…This man can think quick on his feet and has the whole picture at his finger tips in a fantastic way He understands priorities, individual player management and how to get everybody to understand what being an All Black is all about, what is required He has a really great interaction with the reporters and press which is half the battle won His most sensitive ‘issue’ is the o/seas players and ‘keeping an open mind’ I think he WILL get ‘the powers that be’ to adapt their thinking (SOON!) Could’nt have asked for a better ‘first press conference’ The atmosphere and energy was / is infectuous, most promising Well done Scott Razor ‼️ 👊🔥 🪖

Impressive two minutes from Razor. Really looking forward to Scott Robertson's tenure as All Blacks Head Coach. I'm hoping like heck, he can restore the "aura" of All Black Rugby after the battering we've been taking since the 2019 World Cup semi final loss to England in Japan. My only reservation is his leaning towards selecting overseas player's, the talent is here, in New Zealand....I can understand his want for player's like Richie Mo'unga but team's like the Spring Boks had him worked out as evidenced by the pressure they applied to him in the 2023 World Cup final loss. Select the talent coming through and Coach them well, to bring out that talent as we all know Scott Robertson can. Kia Kaha. Hard for me to admit....but the Spring Boks are numero uno, they are the standard......for now....let's go Scotty and the mighty All Blacks.....AMEN.

@@nickybarnard5343Just not awesome enough to be a World Cup winner. Pieter Steph Du Toit and co had his measure.....they rattled him with some pretty big hits is what I saw. I'm not holding him solely responsible for the LOSS in THE most important match of his illustrious career.....the whole team dropped their bundle.....again.....BUT.....he did miss a match winning conversion one would normally expect him to nail after one such big hit. He's gone, maybe he'll be back?, time for us to move on with the "next cab" off the rank. Scott Robertson shouldn't be talking about NZR changing it's policy and selecting overseas players like he has done previously. He should trust his obvious coaching skill to produce the next Mo'unga, Barrett, Cruden, Carter et al, we have them, they're here in NZ, they just need the right coach, is Scott Robertson that Coach?, here's hoping he is. Finally he has his chance, I for one cannot wait to see it all unfold. New Coach, new team, all singing from the same page...."let meeee....entertain you"

Springboks are a great team but there are 3 other teams who also set the standard. One country dominating is long gone. 4 share the same high standard now

Not a "hard on" per se". They ask about Richie in the context of Razor being a supporter of Rugby NZ, changing its eligibility rules for ABs selection. In the same manner that the Boks & Wallabies currently do.
